Physical Description of Persona:
Nimory's blue eyes are slightly lighter than his father's. He also has his father's smile, the rest is all his mother. His hair is medium brown. He is of average height and built thin, but strong.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Nimroy is intelligent and sharp witted, and has a nearly insatiable passion for knowledge and new experiences. As the son of Lord Benaroy he was instilled with a strong sense of family and Hold loyalty, but the responsibility he feels to the Amber Hills has always been at odds with his desire to see all of Pern and learn new and exciting things. He feels as if his yearning for adventure was stifled by his father and Hold obligations and this has left an underlying bitterness within him.

Generally this resentment is well submerged and outwardly Nimroy appears friendly and even-tempered. He gets along very well with people and makes the perfect ambassador having a particular talent in negotiating trade contracts. This is largely due to the fact that he has a genuine interest in other individuals and different parts of Pern, showing no prejudice for people with different ideas or customs.

With his family or those who know him well, Nimroy is more apt to let regrets and disappointments make him a bit tetchy and his dry wit and somewhat sarcastic humor might come into play. He does have a certain closeness with many of his siblings, although his relationship with his father is somewhat strained due to past disagreements.

History of Persona:
Nimroy is the first son and first of eight children of Lord Benaroy and his third wife, Nimile. His father had his seven half-siblings with his second wife, Anley, who died three turns before he was born. He was born seventeen turns after the Plague that devastated Amber Hills Hold. He was about fourteen when his youngest sister was born. Nimile died about two turns later, having never quite recovered from Royani's birth.

As a child Nimroy always enjoyed learning new things. He excelled in his harper classes and wanted to go on once they were finished. Wishing to see all of Pern he begged his father to allow him to apprentice but given the state of the Hold Lord Benaroy wanted to keep his son at Amber Hills and apply his talents to improving the Hold.

At thirteen turns, the boy was ecstatic when a search dragon showed interest in him. Though Nimroy could have gone to the Weyr, his sense of responsibility to family and Hold would not allow him to go without his father's blessing. Lord Benaroy was able to convince his son to stay at Amber Hills for the sake of the Hold. Shortly after this, realizing that he needed to do something to keep his son from rebelling, Lord Benaroy sent Nimroy to foster at Jade Harbor hold. Knowing that Nimroy had a keen intellect, Benaroy hoped this would help the boy redirect his interests to Hold management.

At Jade Harbor Hold, Nimroy fell in love with the sea. Stories of adventure and far off places were abundant at the Hold and the sea and those that traveled on it became his passion. After three turns he begged to be allowed to pursue the seacraft and he was immediately called home to Amber Hills. Once again a sense of obligation kept Nimroy from pursuing his own interests and he assumed such responsibilities as his father assigned to him, but with little enthusiasm.

Nimroy and his father were often in disagreement and a certain tension developed between them. By the time he reached twenty-five turns he was being pressured to marry and was balking. Finally, he and Lord Benaroy came to an agreement. Nimroy would marry any woman of his father's choosing and Lord Benaroy would allow Nimroy to travel in the capacity of Hold liaison whenever it was practical and feasible. Nimroy was married to Lady Ailaya from Jade Harbor Hold before he was twenty-six turns in age. She proved to be a rather flighty and shallow woman and held little interest for Nimroy, but their marriage was amicable. After an extremely difficult pregnancy, Ailaya gave birth to a healthy son, but died in the days following.
