Qorri has taken the Headwoman position at Dolphin Cove. She spends some time musing over her life and her choice. N'vanik stops by to congratulate her. A drudge tells Qorri about a disagreement she had with a rider. D'cal reports that a pot was broken by some people doing maintenance in his weyr. Qorri also helps Calla with his duties.
K'deren helps R'lenn, a newly transferred brownrider, find his way to the dining cavern. N'vanik also helps someone new. He finds new Candidate Yalloa crying in a closet late at night and walks her back to the barracks.
Candidate Shawntya meets D'cal in the bathing caverns. Soon the two of them get more than friendly. The next morning, they decide to stay in bed to enjoy each others' company.
N'mor's bronze wins his first flight. Unfortunately the green's rider is male, and the post flight moments aren't pleasant for either of them.
