The Senior Weyrlings are Weyrlings no more! On day 8, the current class of Senior Weyrlings graduates sucessfully. Y'sani and J'darin deal with this in their own privately painful ways.
A hurricane misses Dolphin Cove on day 16, but the dolphins are reporting another big storm just a few days away.
Nyith Clutches on day 17!
Dolphin Cove faces some refrigeration problems as some of the system breaks down, giving the new Headwoman something to do only a couple of sevendays after she took over.
O'dan asks for a new Weyr for Dantial his brother. Odarian and O'dan try to come to some kind of understanding over Odarian's chose to Stand or not to Stand. Eventually Odarian comes to the realization that he would like to Stand. O'dan's legacy is beginning to effect Odarian, however, as he is assaulted later in the month by a greenrider with a grievance against O'dan, who then tries to take it out on his son.
Narrala draws Luthinath for Y'sani then gives it to him.
R'alt and Isaline have it out over V'lorn and the end result isn't a happy one.
R'alt seeks solace in Oria after his fight with Isaline.
V'con and R'alt deal with the fear of their upcoming Blooding by vowing never to give into Thread.
After their Blooding, R'alt and Isaline make up (in the best way possible) when the reality of the life .. and death.. of dragonriders hits them both very hard.
Master Mason Ayona works on improving her room. What do you expect? She's a mason. The female Master Crafter has an interesting chat with a senior Journeyman mason, Valdean.
G'len congratulates Ylisahn on becoming the Headwoman of DCW. G'len and Dantial attend the opening of the new Tavern at the Vintner Hall.
I'lan and Sh'dori have a nice chat after drills.
D'ren asks Narrala, who was an apprentice with him, how life as a female apprentice at the Harper Hall has been for her. She offers helpful suggestions for D'ren, who might like to see his sister become an apprentice someday.
J'darin is called to investigate Y'sani punching O'dan, who got a little too friendly with Karaleigh. He punishes him with a sevenday of washing dishes and doing laundry, which Y'sani considers a vacation from training unruly Weyrlings. The Weyrleader and Weyrlingmaster get along as well as they _always_ do. Y'sani later apologizes to Karaleigh for his behavior, then reports to Ylisahn the next day for his 'punishment' assignment.
When the sevenday is up, J'darin goes to see Y'sani with wine and apologies in hand and they talk about the Senior Weyrlings graduation on day 8.
Cherlyn gets a visit from J'ren, the father of her child, and the come to a happy agreement that surprises Cherlyn.
