Reports for Amber Hills Hold

January 30th 2019

Corofel's prankster side brings unwanted excitement to the Amber Hills Dining Hall when a bucket of slime is spilled on Zelanka's spotless floor. Rothen manages to catch Corofel, by coincidence. Rothen and Corofel meet again while Corofel is on cleaning duty, his punishment from the Headwoman, and discuss the merits of mischief.

Zathris takes time out of his day to stop and chat with Rothen, who often has one of the shifts guarding the door to the Lord Holder's family quarters. The Lord of Amber Hills enjoys getting to know his guards personally and discusses family and hunting with Rothen.

When he's not guarding the Lord Holder's quarters, Rothen plays chess with Kedran, a fellow guard. The two enjoy discussing miscreants, past and present.

A threat comes to the Lord Holder's family when a woman threatens to make it known that Benamil is having an illicit relationship with another man, Journeyman Vintner Arion. In order to save his family's reputation, Zathris pays the woman for her silence, and makes plans to have her removed from Amber Hills, permanently.

Zathris also orders Benamil and his wife, Nazli, to produce a child to squash any further rumors about Benamil's love life. Despite angering his wife, and Benamil and Nazli, Zathris goes secretly to Arion and offers him two options, give up his relationship with Benamil, or move to the Hold where they can be more private about it.

Arion moves to Amber Hills to work as a vintner there, and Benamil is quite happy when he learns of the vintner's move.
