Reports for Amber Hills Hold

March 4th 2009

Life goes on, despite the fact that Amber Hills has lost it's Lord Holder. Though it seems the question of who the heir might be seems to never be far from people's minds. A small group gathered in order to make plans for the Lord Holder's funeral.

Nimroy has had a busy month, comforting and serving the people of his native Hold. He was caught leaving little gifts to help brighten Zelanka's day as she continues to deal with the loss of her former lover. One night he also dropped in on Benaran to discuss who might inherit the Hold. The fact that their father left no recorded choice of an heir has been weighing on his mind, so one day he and Shadux searched Benaroy's former office, but the Search came up empty. Nimroy seems worried that the uncertainty the Hold faces with no clear leader might be putting the people and his own family in danger, and he speaks to Corran about needing a little extra insurance.

He also spoke with Weaver Jadorin. It seems his shirts were ruined when his little son accidentally knocked over a jar of ink. The journeyman assured him that he'd be able to get him new shirts within a matter of days. What to do about his little boy is also something Nimroy has been considering. His wife having passed away, he is faced with raising the little boy alone. He spoke to his sister, Benani, about the possibility that she might have a hand in raising the younger, with her husband Zanthris' whole hearted support. But perhaps Nimroy will not spend his days as a bachelor. He has been seeing a lot of a young creche worker, Aiyana, who has a fascination with tapestries. Though who knows if he isn't just being friendly. After all, he also had a rather nice chat with Journeywoman Rikka as she fixed his electric light for him.

Another rather friendly pair is Jadorin and Lyria. The two went for a ride together and enjoyed each other's company, reflecting on how nice it was to find a friend. The journeyman also met the Hold guard Corran over lunch. They discussed doing a little business for a tapestry or wall handing for Corran's brother. Though Corran has much more important Hold matters on his mind - namely investigating all the thefts the Hold had experienced. He met up with a rather unfriendly comrade in arms and discussed a mysteriously locked door in the guard tower.

Who knows what the future may Hold for the people of Amber Hills. With no Holder named, it seems the Conclave will have to decide who will be given the honor of leading the Hold. Perhaps this is a good time for opportunity seekers to stake their own claim in a new era for the Hold!
