Reports for Amber Hills Hold

October 7th 2009

The Auntie leans forward, her eyes wide. Her lips crack into a smile, squeezing her wrinkles together. "News about the Hold, eh? Well now, I kin certainly help ya' wit' that." She leans back and glances around, her eyes half closed as if in contentment. "There's really not that much a'goin' on so I hope ye aren't too disappointed. Let me see...ah yes, that journeyman weaver Jadorin married that girl Lymria. I hear there's a reason behind it and it not be love necessarily. Could be she's in the family way - these children and their lack of morals! He wrote his parents and I've heard that it's been quite some time between letters; even months. What a surprise! I git the sense that this isn't where he expected to be a'goin'. I've a'feelin' he feels he's lockin' himself into a future he didnae want.

"Then there's Lord Zathris. He's been a'hangin' around the Tavern just as much as he was before he was elevated to the position of leadership, dontcha know. I know that lass, Barthella, she asked him a favour, she did. Evidently there's another lass who seems to be a target of the menfolk dontcha know, and she asked Zathris if he'd get the girl into the kitchens at the hold to protect her like. Of course, like any man, he thinks largely with his stomach and agreed as long as he could take some bread back wit him. Just like a man! There there's those rumours about him and that Technician girl...and there is a hint upon the wind of an upcomin' event. I'll let you know, dearie, as soon as I hear somethin'!"
