Reports for Amber Hills Hold

December 8th 2009

"Ah, me bones ache. Blast this cold weather!" The Auntie eyes you and motions you to come closer. "Distract me with a bit o' conversation, eh? That's a good'un." She stops rocking but a moment, a rest in the beat creaked out by her rocking chair. "Ah, well, Lord Zathris, he has a thing for that pretty little Technician, but I heard that so does one o his Assistant Stewards. Either that, or Althom was bein' nosy and tryin' to pry too much information out of the Lord Holder. Zathris certainly didn't seem to mind talkin' about her though. Speakin' of the Lord Holder, it looks as if there will be two more youngin's in the Hold as he and Lady Benani will be fosterin' Lord Corowal's offspring. Perhaps being fostered together will make thing's easier on them, eh?" The old woman reaches out to scratch her chin. "Zelanka visited with Nimala. I know the Headwoman had eyes only for Lord Benaroy and grieves his passin' but Nimala has a rather nonchalant air about the former Lord's death. After Nimala left, Zelanka got a wistful look on her face - that she did. Perhaps remembering Benaroy, or his wife - more likely the latter as the last subject was about Benaroy's wife and childbirth."

The Auntie shakes her head. "Oh aye, it's not much, but that be all I can offer ya', youngin'. Of course, things don't stay quiet for long around 'ere...no, they don't..."
