Reports for Amber Hills Hold

March 8th 2011

The Auntie's head hangs, but when a visitor is heard, she looks up, her eyes peering out from between the folds of age. "Ach, tis a sad, sad day." She hangs her head again and shakes it. "Didya nae hear? A boy was beaten. Beaten! Hard ta say why. Eh? What's that ye say? He may be a li'l off? Likes boys instead o' girls? Well now, that does change things." She stiffens her lips pursing. "Donnae want that sort o' folk here in tha hold, no." She shakes her head with a bit more vigor this time. "Still, I s'pose tha Lord had ta whip 'em, punish them proper like. Cannae go 'round beatin' people. What iffin they were wrong? Nae good."

The Auntie waves her head and then beckons you closer. "Come sit. Let's talk o' happier things. Turns End is a comin'. I heard tha Lady went ta taste wine, then later joined tha Lord Holder ta sample ale. Should have a good s'lection o' drinks ta choose from!" She cackles and rubs her hands together. "Gotta warm up me old bones some how. Eh? Oh that assistant Steward, Shadux? He's been dismissed! Seems that he insulted tha Lord Holder ta his own wife and she dismissed him! A shame, he's been 'round a long time.

"Speakin' o' Stewards," The Auntie leans forward in her chair, "Ya seen tha Steward lately? Been rather long faced. I done heard tell that he's rather lonely. Ain't got no wife er nothin', just his sister er somethin' at tha Hold. Mebbe I should suggest me niece go say h'llo, mebbe he'll notice her, eh? What, have ta go all ready? Well, ya come back soon, I'm sure I'll have more ta tell ya when ya do!"
