For a moment, it looks as if the Auntie is asleep in her rocking chair - or maybe she's dead. So still she is that it seem she might be. Is she breathing? Approaching, her eyes open and a grin splits her mouth wide. "Ach, there ye be. Aye, it has been quiet." She agrees, then winks. "O' course, they often say tis but the calm b'fore the storm, aye?"

That rocking chair begins to go back and forth again, squeaking in protest from time to time. "Nae much happenin'...those sweet lasses Arippa and Halah went 'round helpin' ta d'liver supplies and all. Nice o' them ta help out like that. Course, they prob'bly didnae have much
say, but they seemed cheerful enough 'bout it. Says a lot 'bout their character, dontcha know?

"O' course, tha entire hold be waitin' wit' baited breath fer tha arrival of tha li'l ones. Tha Lord Holder needs an heir, aye. Let's hope tha Lady be able ta pr'duce once. I heard some Lords put aside their Ladies when they cannae pr'duce an heir. Zathris donnae seem like that, but o' course ye know how his father is. Mayhap things'll change if Benani donnae do her duty, aye?

Ah, speakin' o babies, that Kaya, Steward's wife was pregnant. Went ta get checked up on by tha healer Chupsin, but 'bout a sevenday later lost tha babe. Heard it was a boy. Poor thing. She didnae do well. Almost lost her 'cept Chupsin pulled her back from the brink o' death. Good healer that man. 'Course, Kaya's health be compr'mised. I heard
she's still abed. Nae sure what's goin' ta happen ta her next."

There's another annoyed squeak from the chair. "Ach, need ta get this thing oiled. That be all I have. Fer now. Ya listen ta me, t'aint nat'ral ta be so quiet. Thing's be stirrin' b'neath tha surface - I guarantee. Just keep yer eyes opened!"
