Wingsecond K'reyel is seen leaving after a greenflight his dragon won. Apparently the young man had thought he might stay a bit longer.
Wingleader K'lvin gives Bahji a ring and the young woman seems happy about it. The two of them end up in bed afterwards, declaring themselves weyrmates.
The Weyrwoman sits down with the Master Healer and she learns from Reeva that there is something different about her behavior. They agree to continue working on the issue and she submits to the healer's care. She then learns what is really going on and is immediately caught between a rock and a hard place. Will she get over her postpartum depression and how will she deal with it?
She goes to talk to Y'gel and he ends up upsetting her when he brings up her reaction to Gelira's situation. Instead of finding a confidante and building trust, Rhosyn ends up disappointed.
D'lorn's green Villith flies and is caught by H'vack's bronze! This is surely to be awkward since the Weyrlingmaster will now have intimate knowledge of his subordinate. Weyrlife at its best!
Golden Orlaith flies and is caught once again by bronze Nikornath despite many worthy suitors! And so, K'sedel is once more named Weyrleader. Eggs to follow!
The junior weyrlings have their first flights and green weyrling Eirlira disrespects Weyrlingmaster H'vack, which is not a good choice. All of the dragonets perform well though.
H'vack and B'jon talk about his green, thinking they might be a possible future searchpair.
The two young woman at River Bluff who can hear all dragons finally meet and Briata is a bit skeptical about the new candidate, Lanniya. Too perky, she thinks. She talks to Y'gel about it and expresses her concerns but the dragonhealer seems to shrug them off.
R'yin ends up with another greenrider after Ciara's flight, drowning his sorrows.
The Wingleadership has a meeting to discuss the situation at Dragonsfall and Rhosyn's reaction seems to upset some of the others. The Weyrwoman doesn't want any of their folk to leave like Hygalia did. J'ren, in particular, seems to disagree with her. He talks to Lenala about it and the two of them wonder if the Weyrleader is really running the Weyr.
