Reports for Harper Hall

June 1st 2008

Turns End is a-comin' and its just about time to start thinking about
preparing for the celebration. You can bet that its in the back of the
Hallmaster's mind! But first, it seems the Hall has a few family issues
its still working through...

Larken has continued her wandering ways, still carrying on with her
brownrider M'tone behind her husband's back. The brownrider begs her to
give him just a day of her time in which they can act like a normal
couple. She tries to convince her husband to take a small trip to see
his son, if only for a little while. Though she tries to make it sound
like she's only thinking of his well-being, she longs for time away with
the brownrider too. However, M'tone isn't happy with the idea of
waiting for the snow to break before getting that chance, as that could
be months away. After a rather heated argument, Larken agrees to talk
to her husband once more. She reminds him that with Turn's End coming
up, there will never be a 'good time'. He promises to consider leaving
earlier.

The Hallmaster also is being hassled to take time away. His daughter,
greenrider Almora, comes to pay him a visit. Though he's happy to see
his daughter, she reminds him that he has been rather busy of late.
Perhaps a little _too_ busy. She's feeling a little neglected, a
sentiment she seems to share with his wife. Will the Hallmaster ever
learn how to balance his duty to his family and his duty to the Hall?

The Hall recieved a much more pleasant visitor. Kitali, a harper from
River Bluff Weyr, found her way over to the Hall to visit with an old
friend. Almonteo meets her in the Hall and shows her the way to the
woman's weyr. They have a nice chat and he invites her to visit his
Hall any time, especially for a performance!

Finally, Hallsecond Thanja had a nice couple of klah with Quistador and
discussed an idea he had. It seems the apprentices have been jamming
the machines again. The journeyman suggests that they have a printing
machine all their own to use so as not to interrupt the flow of
important printing jobs. The Hallsecond likes that idea and encourages
him to submit a proposal.

Things should start picking up at the Hall with Turns End approaching.
Why not join in? The possibilities are endless!
