Physical Description of Persona:
J’nic is 5’ 9”, with light brown hair that is just starting to gray, hazel eyes, and freckles dotting his cheeks and nose. He has fair skin and needs to be careful in the sun. He was lanky before Impression and then filled out a bit, but remains on the thin side. He has a small scar on his chin from slamming into a wall as a young child. He has a large diagonal threadscore scar on his back going from his left shoulder to the lower right of his back. He is starting to develop crows feet and smile lines on his face.
Emotional Description of Persona:
J’nic is generally soft-spoken and has a calm personality, even in stressful or heated situations. He used to be a bit of a pushover when younger, due to wanting to help others and make everyone happy, but has become better over the years at setting boundaries and saying no. His training as a mindhealer has helped with this by giving him tools to support others and also himself. One of his favorite activities is curling up in bed with a glass of something sweet and a good book.
History of Persona:
Jandic was born and raised at Dragonsfall Weyr. His mother is a greenrider and his father a Hall-trained sr. journeyman healer who met his mother when stationed at the Weyr and never left. Jandic followed in his father’s footsteps as soon as he turned 12 by apprenticing as a healer. He also became a Candidate but, with clutches infrequent during the Interval, he was able to advance in his craft without much delay. He became a senior apprentice at 17 and Impressed green Raileth at 18, becoming J’nic. Seeing the struggles his holdbred peers had adapting to weyrlife awakened an interest in mindhealing and, once Raileth was full-grown, he focused on his studies as much as he could. He walked the tables at 27 and advanced to senior journeyman at 33.
J’nic met Sellek, a journeyman technician, when he was 31 and they weyrmated after about 2 Turns together. While it took some time for Sellek, who was Hall-trained, to fully accept what it meant to be weyrmated to a greenrider, they have been happily together for over 15 Turns.
With the start of the Pass, J’nic needed to spend less time on his craft, but also recognized its importance in supporting dragonriders and others at the Weyr. He began informally helping out the weyrlingstaff by giving guest talks and working one-on-one with Candidates and weyrlings, especially those struggling to adjust to weyrlife.
Six months after the start of the Pass, J’nic’s sister Derala, a greenrider, and her dragon were Scored and disappeared /between/. J’nic and Sellek, who had been talking about finding a way to start a family, decided to raise her 5-turn-old Diara.
The construction at Barrier Lake Weyrhold provided an exciting opportunity for Sellek to further his craft, so he asked to temporarily transfer there to help with the construction. J’nic, having never imagined a life away from Dragonsfall Weyr, took a lot of convincing to follow him. However, over the course of many visits to the Weyrhold, he slowly became comfortable with the idea of moving. The Weyrlingmaster Third opportunity was the final piece that helped him make the decision. He is excited to be able to live full-time with his weyrmate again and to play a formal role in training weyrlings. Now, he just needs to convince their daughter to join them.

Description of Dragon:
Raileth is on the larger side for a green, with dark green coloring throughout her body. Like her rider, she has a calming presence and enjoys helping dragonets. She has several threadscore scars on her body, the largest on her right side near her hind legs, but none that restrict her movement.
