Things at Sunstone have been a bit quiet since Turnover. Bryvin's attention has been on improving his hold on Sunstone. The followed up on his promise to Arnott and went to see his father. Arnott's brother and sisters were delivered to the main hold and are now living there with a foster mother and attending Harper lessons.
Meanwhile, Fymer and Bortem have found they have much in common and have been trying to find a way to get rich. Their scheme almost backfired horribly when they were gambling and were themselves cheated. Or were they?
And Vreena is back. She's been placed in the Lady's household as a companion to Xeladrie. Anyone who knew anything about that woman's leanings would see that as a terrible idea... oh yes... Yriadha is very much aware isn't she? Perhaps this is just a stab at revenge on the Lord Holder for his treatment of her?
Then a little flit is whispering about how the Lady of Sunstone really feels about her lot in life. Perhaps Lord Bryvin really needs to watch his back.
