With Vilarth's eggs ready to Hatch, River Bluff is buzzing. There will be a feast to come folks. In the meantime, let's have a look at what's happening at our favorite southern Weyr.
Tsaera approaches Rhosyn to talk to her about Eirlira and the Weyrwoman shares information with her as to why Eirlira is on punishment. They agree to change her chores and see how she fares. K'sedel discusses the candidate with the Weyrwoman and they decide to remove her from Standing at Vilarth's Hatching pending the outcome of the investigation. Weyrlingmaster H'vack isn't happy about this and appeals to the Weyrleader, who agrees to lift the ban.
Rhosyn goes down to see the eggs and speak with Lenala. The clutch is a good size and she praises Vilarth for a job well done as well as warns her Wingsecond about Eirlira. Then she gets a good bill of health from Master Reeva.
K'mai and E'rae have a chat about what's been going on with Bahji. E'rae is highly confused and he asks K'mai if the other bluerider will talk to her and see what's going on. K'mai agrees. K'mai does speak with her but it doesn't really seem to help anything. When E'rae does come to talk with her, she shuts the door in his face and he leaves.
Unfortunately for E'rae, bronzerider K'lvin who is a newcomer to River Bluff seems all too eager about stepping in where the bluerider has stepped back. He is first seen taking her to dinner. Then he is seen with her romping around sans clothes in water somewhere. K'lvin is also seen drinking with Weyrlingmaster H'vack. Then E'rae unwittingly meets him and complains to him about his problems, including his dislike for K'lvin. The bronzerider seems to take no heed of this when he takes advantage of Bahji's permission and beds her.
Gelira and Bahji meet up and Gelira talks to her about her pregnancy and Z'an and the two agree to possibly do a meet-up later. D'arvn is also seen chatting with the blind resident about her flightmothing experience with E'rae. Then she talks with Riveenata about her problems to get a woman's perspective.
Despite her pregnancy, Y'gel tells Gelira that there is a gold egg on the Sands at Dragonsfall and prepares to take her there.
Eirlira also meets up with Gelira and it gives her an idea about approaching Tsaera to see if the older goldrider needs help.
Poor Riveenata seems to be having doubts about her choice of profession. Before Fall, she continues to have pictures plague her of her friends hurt. Then, she loses a patient who happens to be a friend of hers and doesn't understand why. On the flip side, she does get some action with bronzerider F'lin. She also makes plans with bronzerider K'dee. Finally said unhappy healer is also seen with bluerider K'mai.
The Queens' Wing has a meeting to discuss the changeover before Tsaera officially starts to fly with them. Rhosyn and Lenala answer questions and let them know what's going to happen. D'arvn and other wingriders are surprised to hear the old Weyrwoman is returning. Ciara already knew however.
U'fouinn is seen talking to his father, U'das. The two of them gossip about Uetia and her antics as well as D'arvn. It's nice to see they are getting along finally.
U'das also meets up with Tsaera, his old Weyrwoman. The two of them get along famously and act as if nothing has changed. Tsaera also meets the Weyrlingmaster since the two of them will be flying together in Threadfall when she leads the Queens' Wing.
Speaking to D'lorn, Eioval tries to see if he can get on the Hatching Sands. The Weyrlingmaster Third points him in the goldrider's direction since it would be Lenala's decision. Journeyman Eioval approaches Lenala about closer access during the Hatching. The goldrider doesn't give him a straight answer but says she'll see if Vilarth might be willing so he can paint some scenes. Eioval also sees Riveenata in one of her morose moods and tries to make her happy.
Poor Lokkun is given numbweed duty and the apprentice meets up with Y'gel on his way. Y'gel is also seen having his usual meeting with the Weyrwoman, who opens up to him about her loneliness.
Weyrhealer Taren comes to visit from Dragonsfall Weyr. He sees his sister, healer Drumilla. The two of them catch up. Drumilla and D'lorn talk to each other about the current weyrling class and how things are progressing. Pregnant weyrling Ameala comes up in conversation. Weyrlingmaster H'vack meets with her and her husband Fitchan to discuss the changes that will happen and what it will mean for her training.
A problem down at the docks causes problems for Tamah the harbormaster. Rhosyn comes down to see what's happening and ends up providing draconic help for the injured to get them transported. Master Reeva, Journeyman Drumilla, and Journeyman Riveenata are on the scene.
Reeva is told that the numbers of herbs and medicines on hand don't match the dosages given out. There seem to be issues with the tea and the stomach relievers. Concerned, she checks the records of the people who might be affected and Bahji's name comes up.
