As she slept, Rhosyn ended up dreaming about what life might have been like had another bronzerider ended up winning her first flight at River Bluff. Too bad R'enh went to Dolphin Cove instead. Lenala came by to see about her after the Hatching was so rough and the two of them ended up discussing Weyr matters instead.
The Dolphin Cove Weyrleaders spoke to Lanniya's grandparents at the Hatching about a possible connecting to their greenrider, Pierka. Could Pierka be their long-lost relation? If so, they have a great-grandson.
Lanniya isn't paying attention in lessons again. It seems the young goldrider is thinking back on her dance with Y'gel during the Hatching. She asks the bronzerider about the Weyrwoman and other things. She also dances with another bronzerider-young D'ren. Finally, she meets another young goldrider-Genna of Dragonsfall-and the two seem to get along rather well.
Wingleader K'lvin finds out that Bahji is indeed pregnant again despite the healers' warnings the last time and what happened. Will she live through this pregnancy? Would he kill his own children this time?
Greenrider A'dryn finds out that not all weyrlings are against greenriders. The Weyrbred boys seem to be more accepting and perhaps they're right? Weyrlingmaster D'lorn is forced to call him out in the middle of a lesson since he can't control his dragonet. Hopefully A'dryn will work on that for the future.
Lokkun submits to another test from the Master Healer. Reeva seems to think he'll do fine and the apprentice seems to pass with flying colors. Good luck! He also seems to be enjoying himself with bluerider Im're. The young bluerider has no problem sidling up the apprentice. Ah young love!
We see a small glimpse into Reeva's life and we understand a bit better about why she has such a strong connection to the harper, Eioval. She is also seen tending Uetia when the greenrider is quite stressed over hearing about Sabonus' death. The baby is allright.
