Reports for Harper Hall

November 3rd 2009

The Harper Hall has been a bit busy this last month! It seems that some of the Harpers are still looking for a home, both within the Hall and in a new one!

Eilomar brought a young girl to talk to Hallsecond, Thanja. It seemed some boys had been harassing her, telling her to go home and making rather disturbing threats against her. Thankfully the choir master turned unlikely hero and rescued the girl, and even defended her to the Hallsecond. Could it be the crotchety Choir Master is losing some of his prejudice against female crafters? After all, as he realized, if he lost the female crafters now, he'd loose so many talented voices! Almonteo heard about the matter when Eilomar brought him his reports and recommendations for advancing apprentices. He encouraged Eilomar to heap praise on the girl to help boost her confidence. We'll see how he manages with that little assignment!

Hallmaster Almonteo also had a another visit with Lord Corowal. This time they met with a Mason who is making a design for the new Hall. It seems a friendly rivalry is growing between the Lord and Hallmaster to see who's building can out-shine who's! Almonteo is definitely getting excited by the prospect of a new home for his harpers.

There will be plenty of opportunities for storylines, especially now that the harpers will be moving back to backward minded Emerald Falls! Will they bring their new Weyr ways with them? Or will they keep mostly to themselves and ease into a life of peace and normalcy. I guess it's up to you to decide!
