The Harper Hall is starting to gear up for one of the most important events on the calendar - Turns End and Beginning! Hallmaster Almonteo has asked the ever responsible Master Eilomar to head up the celebrations at Emerald Falls while he plans the festivities at the Weyr.

Master Eilomar seems to truly enjoy his life in the Emerald Falls Hall, especially with his young wife, Merlish. She, however, wants to live a more healthy lifestyle, though she doesn't know how to manage it without angering the rotund Choir Master. Still, they seem to have settled into a comfortable life together.

The Master is unusually kind and welcoming to the apprentice printer, Ansley, who is making her way to the Hall from the Weyr. After a less than welcoming greeting from a guard posted outside the Hall, the Master helps point her in the right direction.

Ansley in turn greets the new senior apprentice, Elmadi. She gives the new girl advice on how to stay safe in the hostile environment of Emerald Falls.

Emaldi is a favorite pupil of Master Grayvor, who is soon retiring. Still, he is very worried about who will take over for him in teaching the promising new artist. He gets an idea from a visit to the exhibition by the new Master Vestian. The apprentice and Vestian seem to hit it off as they talk about his works of art. She seems very impressed, and gushes about her encounter with the talented artist to her friend.

Vestian was recently awarded his knots. The morning following his promotion, reality sets in as he goes down to breakfast and is greeting by the chaos of his three children, who are carefully managed by his dutiful wife, Porenne. She tries to be as helpful to him as she can, but not only is he slightly hungover, but he is entering a bit of a midlife crisis. Now that he's achieved everything he had set out to achieve, what happens now?

Things have truly picked up at the Harper Hall, and with the rest of the Harpers making their final move from the Weyr soon, it is the perfect time to make a persona and join in the fun!
