Reports for Harper Hall

February 6th 2009

The Harper Hall has lost one of their favorite personas - our young apprentice Figol that we all had such hopes for went and found himself a dragon, much to Master Eilomar's dismay! He and Master Thanja had a chat over the loss while he enjoyed his meal. With one apprentice Impressing and his favorite journeyman catching bronchitis, what is a Choir Master to do?

Before leaving, however, Figol met up with Eshmeir while making a few more adjustments to his composition. He and the newer apprentice discuss learning to play various instruments in the Hall. It seems, though, that music wasn't all that was on young Figol's mind. He found time to win and break Apprentice Sheste's heart! While tussling in the sands on the beach, he kissed her and was rewarded with an enthusiastic second kiss. However, afterwards, our dashing young harper started having second thoughts. Deciding that music should be foremost in their lives at the moment, he tells Sheste that their relationship is over just as it began. Perhaps it's just as well seeing as now that he's a dragonrider of Pern he won't be free to have romantic relationships anyway. We all wait eagerly to see if young F'gol can really stay away from the Harper Hall, or Sheste!

But not all relationship news is bad. Lenlee married a young couple who came to him and asked him to do the honors. He agreed and Sorsha and Railen finally fulfilled the arrangement their parents had made on their behalf, though luckily by choice! They thought it was best to do it now since they both stood a chance at Impressing at the next Hatching. Here's a toast to the new bride and groom, and here's to hoping their Harper Hall blessed union will last, even through the strains of Weyrlinghood!
