Physical Description of Persona:
Slender without being slight and fit without being muscled, Calonice is well-proportioned in all the right places. Her rich, dark skin is kept well-oiled and her hair is most often braided. She is of average height for a woman. She loves fashionable clothing and especially accessories, though she didn't get the opportunity to bring most of her favorite outfits during her headlong flight to the Weyr.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Calonice is headstrong and free-spirited, and natural outgrowth of a childhood spent running around the wagons of her family's Trader caravan. She enjoys seeing new places and new faces, and is fascinated with observing (and participating in) various aspects of culture when she finds herself in a new region. She longs to be able to travel the world adragonback if she ever has the good fortune to Impress.

History of Persona:
The second child and eldest daughter of a fairly prosperous Trader, Calonice has spent her entire life on the road, traversing the vast Southern continent in an inexhaustible crawl. Her father is a skilled networker who negotiates mutually beneficial contracts for wholesale purchases of several necessary products for Pern residents. This allows the caravan a steady income stream while they pursue their true passion: seeking rare and unique items from little-known sources, and bringing them to resell to the richest inhabitants of Pern.

That was how Calonice found herself awaiting an arranged marriage negotiated by her father. The prospective husband, a minor holder in a mountainous region in the far west, boasted of having the only known source of a slow-growing lichen that produced an impossibly bright pink hue when boiled for dye. Having been recently widowed during the birth of his late wife's last child, the holder was anxious for a pretty young female to raise his small son. In return, he promised exclusive sale of the lichen at a reasonable cost to Calonice's family. Her father hoped to make good profit selling to the Master Weavers around Southern.

Unfortunately for him, Calonice no more than heard of the plan before she began plotting her escape. She was _not_ ok being confined to some tiny hold, especially with a husband more than twice her Turns. It was better for her to leave, anyways, before her father found out the truth�" that despite his assurances to the would-be suitor about her purity, Calonice was no longer marriageable by strict Holder standards. Therefore, when the opportunity arose, she fled her family and got herself Searched just in time for Imbeth's rising and clutch.

Description of Dragon:
Tiny and sweet, Umbranth is almost undersized by healthy dragonet standards. The only portion of her that seemed to grow fully while in shell was her wings; subsequently, she is having to spend a lot of energy learning how to walk without tripping on them.

She's a shy green, not chatty, even with her new rider. She's intelligent, though; she watches constantly, and tries to learn from other dragon mishaps to avoid making them herself.
