Physical Description of Persona:
Vianne is a few inches taller than five feet with a slim but strong build and light skin. She has chestnut brown hair she keeps trimmed such that it does not touch her shoulders. She has big eyes, icy blue near the outside with tinges of green near the pupils. She has leaned into wearing trousers now that she is at the Weyr, as they are often far more practical than dresses and skirts.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Vianne is driven and ambitious. But she is also steadfast and loyal. But she also longs for the control and freedom to be independent. All in all, her two warring sides have led her to make sacrifices, and she has struggled all her life not to feel resentment over them. She strives to be kind and gentle. But she can also be impatient and easily frustrated. She believes in honoring her commitments, and she loves her husband and daughter dearly. But she wonders what her life would be like if she had no such responsibilities. Her eagerness to accept Search was in no small part fueled by that curiosity.

History of Persona:
Vianne's parents had high expectations for her. In fact, she and her mother had moved to Emerald Falls proper from their minor hold in anticipation of the return of Lord Corowal's heir, Corofel, and in their hope that they could help her stand out as a potential match for him that would elevate their hold's status in the territory.

These hopes were stifled when Vianne seemed to fall for one of the newly arrived Printers, Ilthralos, but hope was not entirely lost until she fell pregnant by the man. He was a poor match with nothing approaching anything his parents would consider prospects -- regardless of what future he could possibly build for himself, it would never be anything compared to Corofel -- and it would bring no elevation in status to their hold.

Vianne, however, knew exactly what she was doing. As much as she loved her parents and her home, she had no interest in being a Lady Holder. She wanted freedom. She wanted to make her own choices and be her own woman. And the fact that she had fallen deeply in love with Ilthralos meant that she could tie herself to him with a baby with no fear of the future they could have together. She knew that they could not get away immediately, but a crafting husband would eventually be her ticket out of Emerald Falls.

By the time Ilthralos's contract ended, she was more than finished with her family's resentful jibes. But Vianne was shocked to learn that their next posting would be Dolphin Cove Weyr. She had expected another hold, someplace they could have a fresh start without heavy expectations. But a Weyr? That was more than she bargained for.

But over time, little by little, she began to realize that the Weyr was, in fact, exactly where she belonged. Free childcare? Yes, please. Even then, she never expected to be Searched. But how could she say no? A dragon all her own? She could go anywhere, anytime. Of course, it would mean less time with Ithianne, less time with Ilthralos, especially if she Impressed.

But what difference did that make? They would make it work. They always had before. Nevermind the fighting. All couples fought. Her parents certainly did.
