Persona Profile: L'leb

Writer: Aaron

Name: L'leb
Pronunciation: L - LEB; /lə ˈlɛb/
Age: 20
Birthday: m12 d12
Rank: Junior Weyrling
Location: Barrier Lake Weyr
Face Claim: Booboo Stewart

Physical Description of Persona:
Leoleb has been known to grow his hair long and also to cut it short on a whim. He has straight, dark black hair and dark brown almond-shaped eyes. He has dark tanned skin and is slim and muscular from diving and swimming. From one moment to the next, he can go from looking smolderingly sexy to looking completely goofy depending on how he is smiling.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Leoleb is curious and eager to try new things, but he also forms quick emotional attachments, and this causes a bit of a dissonant conundrum. He wants to go do something new, but he can't stand to give up what he has. He is impatient for results, though observing incremental progress assuages this anxiety. It makes him a perfect diver, as he can always keep count of the number of dye snails he has harvested.

History of Persona:
Leoleb was born and raised on the island at Leeward Lagoon. His family has long taken part in the island's major trades and crafts, whether as dye makers, snail divers, or technicians, and they were among the first settlers on the island. He has many brothers, sisters, and cousins. His father brokered the trade deal between the islandfolk and a mainland trader and manager of a runner waystation, Cerault.

He was Searched and spent several Turns at Dolphin Cove Weyr, where he formed a romantic relationship with Cirina, though when she broke up with him, his heartache turned to homesickness, and he returned to life as a diver on the island. Shortly thereafter, Cerault's son visited the island, and they had a brief tryst. However, Brennault completely broke things off once he realized Leoleb was in grave danger of Catching Feelings.

On a visit to see his brother, who had been among the technicians who helped build the new Weyr, he accepted another Search. He was certain that the dragons were not truly interested in him, else he would have Impressed at Dolphin Cove, but he was happy to reserve himself the best vantage point in the cavern from which to watch the Hatching before he returned home to the island.

Aurelth had other ideas.

Leloede, 30, Journeyman Technician (Brother)

Dragon's Name: Aurelth
Dragon's Age: 0
Dragon's Hatching Date: m13 d20
Dragon's Colour: Brown
Description of Dragon:
Aurelth is a lush, velvet-brown dragon, his hide rich and warm like loam mixed with amber resin. The amber dapples gently across his handsome hide. His build is _soft_, powerful without showing much muscle but not growing chonky. His movements are loose, languid, graceful in strange ways. He may be unsettling to some, especially those unused to the oddities and quirks of draconic personalities. He loves to slink, like a hunter on the prowl, and thinks is endlessly amusing when others feel uneasy. His voice is low, slyly flirtatious and always amused, like he's holding back on a little joke that only he knows. Maybe he is, but he probably isn't.

Aurelth is a creature of delight, curiosity, and deeply affectionate chaos. He may look (and, generally _feel_) soft and languid, drifting through Leoleb's mind like a lazy summer breeze in the dead summer of Leeward Lagoon. He adores touching minds, coiling warm and heavy through his rider's thoughts with comforting weight and no sense of privacy or importance. Everything fascinates him-- the way the light flickers, how people react to unexpected affection, how herdbeasts panic before the kill. Nothing to him is as serious as everyone else may act; not the perceptions of others, not Threadfall. At first he may seem lazy and callous, and perhaps he is to an extent. His curiosity skews towards the reckless. He is every impulsive thought, and his rider will need to pull him back from the most extreme of his impulses. He tests the world like it’s a toy--never cruelly, but with an irreverent charm that leaves other dragons baffled and riders sighing.

Still, his loyalty and devotion to his rider is unwavering and fierce. Aurelth holds grudges for as long as his rider can remember them, and maybe even a little longer before the memories fade. He has no problem staying mad even though he cannot remember why in the first place, and happily stays that way if he or his perceives a slight.

Most of the time, though, he is simply a joy: mischievous, affectionate, a little strange, and utterly, disarmingly charming. He loves stories, shiny things, new friends, and pushing boundaries just far enough to make life interesting.
