"They're beginning to arrive," Cyradis said from where she was looking
at the refreshment table. She turned away from what almost appeared to
be a banquet on the tables to the side of the room. The big round
table in the middle of the room had it's own pitchers of both chilled
water and hot klah.

"Chaysea," she turned toward the headwoman. "You've done us proud."
She smiled and walked toward the entrance with its generous space for
dragons and people and smiled up towards the sky where she saw the
first pair spiraling down into the bowl. She shaded her eyes against
the bright morning sun and waved to welcome the incoming gold and her
familiar rider.

Vilarth buggled loudly when she came out of /between/. Lenala couldn't
remember when she was last this nervous. She felt so nervous she was
ready to vomit.

Panitath crooned a greeting to Vilarth and presented Cyradis'
complements directing her where to bring her rider.

Vilarth landed and her rider dismounted. Her hide gleamed, having
washed and oiled just before this trip. Vilarth had insisted on
looking at her best, she was River Bluff's senior gold now.

"Thank you, Weyrwoman." Chaysea said to Cyradis as she watched the
visiting dragon land. It was the first time she'd ever been in charge
of an event that would host a conclave, but she found it easier than
prepping for a Hatching, as there were less people to worry about
accomodating.

Loseth had alerted him that the River Bluff Weyrleaders were arriving
and he went out to watch. The gold was familiar but not the one that
should be here. N'vanik had so many questions for Lenala. What had
happened? Why?

Lenala waited K'ran to join her before they would head to greet their hosts.

The bronzerider stepped forward and offered Lenala his arm. "We'll be
okay," he said quietly to her.

"They are expecting Rhosyn," Lenala murmured back with nervous tone.

The warm air of Dolphin Cove was a welcome reprieve from the bitter
cold of /between/ as Chioneth appeared above the tropical Weyr. Saibra
had dressed for Dolphin Cove weather in a semi-modestly cut dress that
coordinated in color with her Weyrleader.

Chioneth bugled a greeting to the watchdragon, and then to Penitath and Vilarth.

**Vilarth?** Saibra studied the other gold dragon as Chioneth descended to land.

}:Yes.:{ Chioneth confirmed.

**Where is Rhosyn and Orlaith?**

}:I do not know, but Vilarth is here with authority. Maybe you will
find out in your meeting.:{ Chioneth didn't seem overly interested in
why the River Bluff senior gold was missing.

S'shin and Didith spiraled into the Weyr with a bugled greeting to
Panitath. When he was down he went to Naraluth's side to assist
Raelis.

"Thank you." She dismounted as gracefully as she could. The long fur
coat she wore made things awkward, but it had kept her warm /between/.

The watchdragon bugled again when another pair appeared to the air
above Dolphin Cove Weyr. The Dreams End Weyrs leaders announced their
arrival.

H'lib looked down when Kalmath circled to land. He was trying to spot
some sight of disarray. This was N'vanik's Weyr, it has to have
something wrong with it, right?

Windswept Island was next from /between/. Tr'nai was young and
athletic, also new to the Weyrleadership, and the man was looking
forward to meeting his peers and seeing how he stacked up.

K'ran was mentally rehearsing the words he was going to say to the
rest of the group when they all arrived. He was sure they were all
burning with questions. Except for those from Far Island, who knew.

}:And you will answer them well.:{ Rogueth informed him. Then the
bronze rumbled greeting to Chioneth and Panitath, both golds he knew
well.

N'vanik frowned at the pair from Dream's End. He definitely wasn't
looking forward to seeing H'lib again. But on the other hand, this was
a chance for N'vanik to gloat about everything he'd accomplished after
H'lib got him thrown out.

Udari glanced at her Weyrleader as they landed, wondering how he would
do in such an unusual environment. Weyr Conclaves were a rare event.

The Vista Point leaders arrived. Galardja took in all the gold and
bronze hides sparkling in the sun and mused about how some of her most
troublesome riders had risen to leadership. Yes, there was Loseth. But
where was Orlaith? Was Rhosyn late?

Hupatenth bugled her welcome as she and her rider emerged from the
cold. Leriyah patted her gold's hide. The first few minutes of this
were not going to be too easy, she thought as the gold landed
gracefully.

Lenala squared her shoulders and put on her social mask . "Cyradis,
N'vanik! So nice to see you. I'm pleased that you agreed to host this
event," she greeted.

Cyradis smiled from where she and N'vanik were greeting the
Weyrleaders and held out both hands to the beautiful goldrider.
"Welcome Lenala," she nodded to her and to K'ran. "K'ran, welcome back
to Dolphin Cove." She was sure she'd get more news when they were
ready to share and this was not the time to interrogate them. She
then held back for the latest arrivals before opening her arms and
ushering them all into the conclave chamber.

"Your places are all marked if you would care to take your seats so we
can get started.
