Physical Description of Persona:
Xeladrie is of below average height. Her hair is a pale blonde and cut very short. Her skin is gorgeously tanned, and her body type is soft and curvy. She has wide green eyes with long lashes.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Zelah is a woman whose life was shaped by Southern expectations that a woman marries a man and gives him children and is subordinate. She is delighted that the Weyr will allow her a freedom to decide who she wants to be and has the desire to throw herself into exploration. Her temperamental and mercurial nature remains, though she has learned to curb her vicious tongue - mostly. She retains her furious anger at the lifestyle expected of Southern women, and will be protective of other young women who come to the Weyr to escape, while maintaining a strong distrust of and distaste of non-Weyr-born men and will struggle to manage it.

History of Persona:
Xeladrie is the second daughter of Lord Xelfin of Turquoise Bay Hold. She was a reserved child, and was often overlooked in favor of the loudest or the most rebellious of her siblings. She learned early on how to manipulate them into acquiring what she wanted without being blamed for it, and how to be smart and cunning while appearing to be neither.

She holds no real affection for any of her siblings, with the exception of her older sister Elarie and her younger brother Xelasrin. Xeladrie idolized her sister, who was gorgeous and witty, with keen insights into other people. When Elarie left to be fostered, she was distressed at the loss of her close confidante. When she came back pregnant from an affair, and then killed herself over it, Xeladrie's heart shifted to anger - at the lot of women, at men in general, and most of all, at the culprit.

Being a Lord Holder's daughter gave her a pampered upbringing, but it carried with it the understanding that her role in life was to be a pawn to be traded to her father's benefit - a fate she dreaded and an indignity that burned. She was married to Lord Bryvin, who was a plotting man, and there was no way she could control him. She had 2 children with him, a son who she could ignore, and a daughter who she could not bear suffering the same fate as her. She reached an emotional breaking point and could no longer fake her disgust of the life she was in, and concocted a plan to have her daughter taken to the Weyr, even if it framed her a murderess.

She was sent to a Mindhealer's Hall for confinement, where she languished for several Turns until she was able to wear down a friendly mindhealer and convince them that she would be sane at a Weyr. Having traveled across the continent and successfully petitioned the Weyrleaders of Dolphin Cove for asylum, she has taken the name Zelah and the chance to restart her life.
