Physical Description of Persona:
Naton is a decent enough looking man. His hair is still thick and brown, the occasional grey hair plucked out in any one of his morning inspections. A round, friendly face with a ready smile or roguish grin and cheerful blue eyes give him a very friendly appearance. Though his line of work requires frequent exercise, Naton isn't very muscular, nor is he very lean. Not to say that he's fat or excessively podgy, he's just a bit soft around the edges. He's fairly tall, standing at a strong 6'0" and can make an impressive stance if he needs to.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Naton manages to go through life in a relatively playful manner. He can be quite the tease and will at times act like a little kid in a grown man's body, especially when something has particularly caught his interest. In those cases disappointment or failure will have him reacting in a childlike manner as well.

Oh, sure, he will certainly take things seriously if the occasion asks for it, but given a choice this man would rather approach life as if it is his personal playground. If someone calls for his help in time of need, though, be it at sea or with more personal issues on the shore, they can count on one very dedicated rescuer. He will always try to be there in times of need, right down to the ridiculous in case of his loved ones.

Another matter Naton takes very seriously is his craft. He's worked long and hard on improving in his craft and takes great pride in his work. Rescue operations have always been his great strength, but he also adores teaching the more common branches of his craft to willing apprentices.

In matters of love Naton is a bit of a loose canon. He has a tendency to fall too quickly for the wrong kind of woman and had his heart broken a few more times than he cares to admit. But then again, he'll just laugh it off, move on and fall right into the same trap a turn later.

History of Persona:
Born to a seacrafter father and a dolphincrafter mother in one of the smaller sea holds up North, the sea has always been in Naton's blood. His father wasn't home a lot and his mother – however inspiring and exciting she may be – wasn't always the best of examples for her only son. Yet he was loved and the hold's foster mothers made sure he didn't grow up entirely without morals. For this, his youth was pretty uneventful, nor was his choice to enlist with the dolphin craft as soon as he'd turned twelve a surprise to anyone. The young lad's playfulness seemed a perfect match for any dolphin and he seemed to have a good head screwed on, regardless of his occasional antics.

The early turns of his apprenticing he spent proving that, despite his gangly teenager limbs, he should be allowed to train for rescue missions. When filling out more solidly and gaining experience in his later years, he was eventually allowed to specialise in this area when he walked the tables and became a junior journeyman. It was around that time, that he became officially partnered to the dolphin Deet, with whom he had already formed a deep bond of friendship. Over the turns that followed, Naton and Deet became an impeccable team and they coordinated some impressive rescue missions together.

After these glorious turns tragedy struck the pair, when Deet succumbed to a respiratory infection she had been battling for six months. To Naton, the loss of his dear friend meant a period of mourning and it took him many months to return to his usual routine. His work pulled him through, though, and the support from his friends and fellow crafters made sure he never really felt alone. Eventually, the playful and enthusiastic Naton reappeared and he promised himself to continue the work he and Deet had started together. However, his home was filled with memories of Deet and after struggling with this for several more months, Naton finally decided to put in for a transfer to somewhere far away, somewhere where he could pick and choose the moments to remember and honour his fallen comrade, instead of being reminded of her at the most importune moments. So he packed up his belongings, his loving memories of Deet and set sail for the South.
