Physical Description of Persona:
Kiyan is a sturdy man in his prime, with friendly blue eyes and bright red hair that seems to defy any attempts to keep it under control. Turns outside have managed to give him a light tan, but he still manages to get burned from time to time. His wife makes sure that he's always dressed in well-fitting and matching clothing, but left to his own devices he's likely to pull on whatever falls to hand.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Although he's fairly conservative and very traditional in most aspects, Kiyan lets his wife have a surprising amount of control over his life--probably because she takes care of him. A man with great ideas and great enthusiasm, he relies on his wife's organizational talents to counteract his natural tendency for clutter and chaos. Mundane details often slip by him, and is likely to forget small things like eating and sleeping without outside influence. He is truly good at his craft, but without his wife, the rest of his life rather quickly falls apart.

History of Persona:
Kiyan was born the holders of a minor hold in the Emerald Falls territory. Although not overly rich, his parents lived a comfortable life and as the third son, he was given a choice in what he wanted to do. At fifteen he was accepted as a student at the Vinter Hall, where he flourished.

Until he was twenty-five, very little distracted him from his craft--but then he met Fayne, the seventeen turn old daughter of a master vinter. He was instantly smitten, and over the next two turns courted her with singular dedication until they finally were married shortly after his promotion to senior journeyman.

Fayne eventually took over the running of the Vinter Hall staff, keeping everyone fed and clothed while Kiyan worked hard in the vineyards, their happiness together marred only by the fact that they never managed to have any children.

Their lives changed abruptly when Fielton became the new Vinter Hallmaster. Kiyan watched in disgust as the new Hallmaster made his wife's life miserable, driving away one member of her staff after the next. Eventually he suggested that they leave the Hall and return to his parents holding, where she could put her skills to good use. Though Kiyan wasn't overly excited about the idea of helping his brothers run the holding, it was worth it to him to make his wife happy.

After only a few months at his parents hold, Emerald Falls ended its trade agreement with Amethyst Cliff, stopping the flow of wine from the Vinter Hall to Emerald Falls. When Lord Enrizial put out a call for experienced vinters--along with an offer of very good money--Kiyan begged Fayne to come with him to the Hall with him to take advantage of the opportunity. Now he spends his days trying to set up a vineyard for Lord Enrizial, hoping that within a few turns, Emerald Falls won't have to rely on anyone for their wine.
