Physical Description of Persona:
His features are most like his mother, Lady Jerandra's. Tall, broad of shoulder and born with natural grace, he doesn't so much walk as glide. Pale ice blue eyes and blonde hair complete the cool, handsome features.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Jeralir is not exactly lazy--if one is being diplomatic, you'd just call him uninspired! He adores runners and would probably be quite good if he applied himself to perhaps specializing in that area of beastcraft. But he lacks the ambition thus far. His only true ambition is to one day rule a Hold, although he probably would be completely lost as to what to do from that point on!

He's very manipulative and smart. There are only two women who have managed to get past the cool surface of his facade and that is his wife, Jasslara and his mother, Jerandra, whom he adored with an almost unhealthy kind of passion and would have done almost anything for. Almost. Sensing his over all weaknesses and because of his inablity to snag the Heir to Topaz Sea Hold as his wife, his mother found him dispensible and attempted to kill him. While that changed the dynamic of their relationship drastically, he still loves her.

Despite his cool attitude, he's quite capable of charming almost anyone if he cares to, although he reserves that for his father and it's no wonder why he's the Lord's favorite son.

History of Persona:
Born the youngest son of Lord Alalir and Jerandra's marriage, he was always taught to respect his heritage, his Blood--at least by his mother.

While he was always his father's favorite because of his light airy mood and good disposition, it was his mother that he was most attached to and to this day, he remains almost fixated on her, obsessed by a woman who despised him and would have killed him if she could. He grew up wanting nothing more than to be Lord Holder. When the death of the old Lord left Caladyn as Lord Holder and his father was made Heir, he dreamed even more. When his father firmly in Hold, he continued to try to use his charms so that he was named Heir even after his elder brother has returned to the Hold.

During his brother's wedding Gather, he learned the true level of his mother's crimes and confronted, not in anger, but with an offer to assist her ambitions to take Hold, convinced that she would, in turn, name him Heir.

His mother convinced him that the best way for them to both gain their ambitions was for him to seduce and marry the newly named female Heir to Topaz Sea Hold. What neither counted on was his meeting with Jasslara, niece to Lord Jaryd. Drawn to her, and for once determined to follow his own desires and not his mother's, the two began an affair. He found a way to stay on at Topaz long after the Gather to pursue the affair and to continue the task his mother set him to. It was Jasslara's willingness to understand his aims and goals that perhaps sealed the connection they had. He found himself unwilling to manipulate the young Heir to Topaz and concentrated on his affair with Jasslara instead.

Returning home, he convinced his mother that he had at least set his task in motion. However, Jasslara found out she was pregnant and once the news got to Jaryd, he insisted Jeralir marry her. They were hurriedly married soon after. Upon returning to the Hold, his mother attempted to murder him, finally tired with his inability to follow her orders. He learned to fear and avoid the woman he'd idolized. The recent discovery of Jerandra's crimes leaves him bereft emotionally--something he will not even admit to his wife.
