Physical Description of Persona:
Kiya is somewhat petite, like her dragon. Standing about 5'4, she has a small bone structure, but very limber and developed muscles. She is nearly as agile as her dragon, but also has the endurance to run for hours. She keeps her dark brown hair cropped very short to fit under her helmet. Her face features slightly slanted crescent brown eyes framed by rich, dark lashes. She isn't very feminine looking, with more muscles than curves.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Kiya grew up a weyrbrat, and the only life outside a weyr she knows is one of pain and suffering. She is calm and capable, and has a special talent for dealing with candidates, weyrlings, and other younger riders. She makes an excellent rider, and is very, very competent. She enjoys the company of the other riders. She doesn't have many lasting effects from her rape, however she prefers not to attend Gathers and Market Days.

History of Persona:
Born and raised in Vista Point Weyr, Kiya had the typical weyrbrat upbringing. She was enthralled by dragons as soon as she knew what they were, and apprenticed in dragonhealing at the age of 12. She became pregnant due to a rape outside the Weyr at a Gather at the age of 14, and at 15 had a son, Kayed, now K'yed. She contintued her studies and became a senior apprentince at the age of 16. She then petitioned the Weyrwoman to stand as a candidate. She did not Impress her first two times on the sands, and continued her dragonhealing studies, making junior journeywoman at the age of 19. The following turn at the age of 20 she decided to stand for her final time on the sands, and Impressed Keeynth. She became a searchrider as soon as Keeynth's talent for identifying candidates became known. At the age of 22 she had a daughter, Elenah. She continued her dragonhealing studies, and became a senior journeywoman at the age of 32. She transferred to Dreams End from Vista Point Weyr after hearing about the Weyrleader recruiting, even if he wasn't exactly looking for a Searchrider.

While at DEW, she met K'reyel, and had a son with him. K'reyel transfered before Kiya could tell him she was pregnant, and has thus far decided to keep the knowledge of the child from him.

She has recently accepted a promotion to Wingthird - instead of riding active Search - at River Bluff Weyr, once again working under Weyrleader K'sedel.

Description of Dragon:
Keeynth is very small for a green, about 3/4 the size of an average green. Her hide is mostly a deep green with lighter jade mottling here and there. She is extremely agile, and can quite literally turn on a wingtip. She has a talent for Searching out potential riders, often finding suitable candidates that never really thought they could ride a dragon. She is flirtatious with other male dragons, and prefers to stay as far away from the queens as she can get. She detests firelizards, and to this day cannot believe that her rider Impressed one.

Prism, Bronze Firelizard: aged 14, hatched m7 d20
Prism was a gift from Kiya's son to celebrate her becoming a senior journeywoman dragonhealer. He is as lazy as a flit can get, prefering to sleep curled up around Kiya's neck as often as he can. He often wins firelizard flights, much to Kiya's amazement. He stays as far away from Keeynth as he can and still be near to Kiya.
