Physical Description of Persona:
A'se is extremely attractive, and he knows it. Standing at a respectable six-foot-two, he is also very well built from turns of dragon riding. He weighs just over two hundred pounds, making him neither scrawny or overweight. A'se has jet black hair, which he generally keeps cut quite short, so it stays out of his way when he puts on his riding gear.

A'se's eyes are the most evident feature on his face. They are round, and varying shades of green. In bright sunlight it is almost as though the light brings out yellow flecks in his irises, making A'se's eyes appear light-green. In dimmer light his eyes become forest green. A'se's skin is among the palest in the Weyr , and never seems to tan, regardless of the many candlemarks he spends in the sun each day.

A'se's body bears a couple of scars, all resulting from thread. The first is from an injury sustained during Rath and his first time fighting thread. He was struck on the back side of his shoulder. A'se did not take good care of the wound while it was healing, and therefore the scar is jagged and uneven. The second scar he finds more embarrassing as it affects his good looks. This scar stretches across his left cheek, and is a source of major embarrassment for A'se, even though almost everyone tries to convince him that there is absolutely nothing wrong with bearing such a scar.

Emotional Description of Persona:
A'se has never been uncomfortable with his sexuality. He has never expressed any preference between sexes, and tends to take on a different partner as often as thread falls. A'se is generally a friendly and happy young man, one that most of the Weyr's residents find easy going and easy to get along with, although his good looks have caused him to become somewhat big-headed. He tends to believe that everyone wants to be with him, and that he doesn't owe anything to his many lover's. This often causes problems when A'se's lover turns out to be a recent arrival from a neighbouring hold.

Sometimes A'se can be lazy, and sometimes tends to slack off in his duties, making him rather unpopular with his wingleader. Despite this A'se never fails to care for Rath. He is also afraid of commitment, on any level, hating to commit to an activity more than a few days in advance. A'se also is terrified of taking a weyrmate. As soon as a relationship begins to become serious A'se shies away and comes up with an excuse to end the relationship.

History of Persona:
A'se was born Alse, in the lower caverns of Dolphin Cove Weyr. His mother, Iyse, was a sixteen turn-old greenrider, and his father, T'hom, a thirty-eight turn-old brownrider. He was the result of his mother's first flight, which had not been an enjoyable experience. For this reason alone she resented him, and handed Alse over to a foster mother just days after his birth. He did not know either of his parents, other than by sight, and never missed them. His foster mother always treated him as a blood son and as such they still share a strong bond. Eventually, as the threat of thread became imminent, and The Weyrs began to grow, both A'se's mother and father were transferred to other Weyrs. By this time A'se was fully grown, and had impressed his blue dragon- Rath.

A'se was a true werybrat, and caused problems wherever he went. Many of Dolphin Cove Weyr's residents still remember the trouble he caused as a youngster, and like to tease him about it. A'se takes this teasing and good humour and sometimes likes to embellish the stories in order to make them sound more exciting. Even now, although he is twenty-eight turns old A'se still likes to cause little problems, "just to keep to old-folks on their toes" as he often says.

Even though he grew up at Dolphin Cove Weyr A'se never truly considered standing as a candidate as a youngster. It wasn't until he was fourteen, and seriously becoming interested in girls, and boys, for that matter, that he decided to stand. This decision was made, not because Alse wanted to become a dragonrider, nor because of the prestige that came with impressing a dragon, but in order to impress a pretty candidate. He had overheard her telling another candidate that she found it absurd that he wouldn't even consider standing, and that he must be too scared of the hatchlings to even try. He decided to prove her wrong, and immediately found the Weyrwoman and informed her of his decision to stand.

Alse did not impress during that hatching, but unfortunately for him the pretty girl did, putting an end to any chance of a romantic relationship between the two. Much to his surprise Alse found that he was disappointed when he did not impress, so he continued to stand until he met his lifemate - the blue dragon Rath at the age of sixteen.

Due to his flirtatious, carefree nature A'se has fathered at least four children, most likely more, but due to the nature of many Weyr's residents love lives it is impossible to determine if the children are truly his. He tries his best to spend rest days with his weyrbred children- Allia and Irke, hoping to be a small part of their lives. He finds this extremely difficult though, as he generally forgets about them and arranges a date with someone else (often times two or three other people.) He is as of yet to find himself a weyrmate.

Description of Dragon:
Rath is among the largest of the blue dragons at Dolphin Cove Weyr. He is a shade of dark blue that is absolutely gorgeous when glistening in the sun. Rath's personality is much like his rider's - sensitive, yet fun loving, and positively flirtatious. Rath never gives up an opportunity to chase, and catch a green in flight. Generally Rath is able to give his rider good advice, but sometimes his suggestions manage to lead A'se astray.
