Persona Profile: L'maret

Writer: Michelle

Name: L'maret
Age: 31
Birthday: m5 d9
Rank: Wingrider, Rapids Wing
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr

Physical Description of Persona:
L'maret's combination of black hair, olive skin, and hazel eyes is much like his father and uncles, and he inherited the family charm as well. If he hadn't Impressed at such an early age, he would be tall and slender, but turns of dragonriding have put muscle on his frame.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Sociable, friendly, and flirty, he has yet to meet a woman he couldn't charm. A romantic at heart, he hides poems and other writings in his weyr, and only a select few have ever seen them. He also has a wonderful singing voice, but prefers his prankster image. He loves a good prank, and has suffered the consequences of them many times, to the despair of his Wingleader.

History of Persona:
Born Leymaret at River Bluff Weyr to bronzerider L'daven and greenrider Maretia, his mother died the following day from complications. He was raised at first by the same couple who'd raised his father, but at six turns old confronted L'daven and demanded he be a 'real' father to him. L'daven moved him in, and they've enjoyed a wonderful relationship ever since. His father's sister acted as foster mother, so L'maret has never felt the lack of a mother in his life.

At twelve, only days after his birthingday, he Impressed brown Astranith. He worked his way through weyrlinghood and enjoyed the relaxed life of a dragonrider once he was promoted to a Fighting Wing at sixteen. All his life L'maret has written poems, songs, and other tales, but kept them carefully hidden from others. His childhood best friend urged him to apprentice as a harper, but he Impressed before he could make the decision.

It wasn't until he became weyrmated to Kesta that that talent was further explored as she showed some of his work to the Weyrharper, but he kept the lessons private. His son Devaan is from a brief affair with a holder girl, Cherisa, who brought the baby to the Weyr rather than raise him herself. His other son is with weyrmate Kesta.
