Physical Description of Persona:
Fidarras is tall and lean with a build that might be impressively muscular if he had more protein in his diet. He has a shaggy mop of wavy black hair and dark brown eyes. His hands and feet are heavily calloused, and his nose has been broken. He has umber-toned skin and a voice with a surprisingly deep bass timbre.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Fidarras has had respect drilled into him, and while he understands it has been a tool of oppression against him, it was also a lifeline. Those who best performed respect were treated the best. He knows how to use physical violence to enforce the rules, and he knows when it is best not to resist. He remembers every slight and every kindness, and he will repay them when he can. Most of all, he is protective of those who rely on him. He has taken blame and the beatings for them on many an occasion, and he would do so again.
History of Persona:
Fidarras was born at White Hollow Hold, the son of a drudge and a miner. He grew up close to his family, who taught him that family came first above all else. His father worked long, hard hours in the mines to keep him and his sister fed, until one day when Fidarras was 14, a cave-in underground left his father without the use of his legs. From then on, it was Fidarras’s turn to work long hard hours for the sake of his family.
When at last the oppression at White Hollow ended, Fidarras was left with little to no respect for Lord Corofel. His father had never lifted a finger to help them, and it was clear that Corofel himself had very little real power. The rumors said it was Weyrleader N’vanik and the Harper Hall that had truly gotten the gears of salvation turning, and Fidarras was inclined to believe them.
When the first Searchers came to White Hollow afterward, Fidarras was among those Searched. He successfully petitioned for his family to be allowed to come with him, and he has been Standing at Dolphin Cove Weyr ever since.
