Physical Description of Persona:
Chiaroscuro: with a dark, curly mop of hair atop unmarred, smooth pale skin, Dasheir is a study in contrasting color and that's just the way he likes it. (He will never be caught sunburned!) Six feet tall and likely to gain another couple of inches, he's got the beanpole sort of build that belies someone who has shot upright in height and the awkward physicality of a young man who hasn't yet grown into it. He has the slender shape of someone who doesn't do much athletic work; the neatly manicured and cared for hands of someone who does do a lot of fine handiwork.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Easygoing could be Dasheir in a word to those who've just met him, or maybe mild-mannered: he is both of those things, and wears those traits like a cloak around himself. At times he can be internally very nervous and uneasy, often in situations he has no experience with or framework for being stuck in, but he attempts to continue to appear to be as calm and practical as ever. Socially he is shy and soft-spoken, not one to be the first one to speak up to break a silence or attempt to initiate a connection. That doesn't mean he isn't interested in the connection, as Dasheir values people very much and is a true and loyal friend to anyone who took the steps to speak to him first!

His sense of humor is self-effacing, though not at the level of self-deprecating; he has a gift for finding the humor in all sorts of places that others might find only criticism or complaint.

History of Persona:
Dasheir originally hails from Dolphin Cove Weyr, where he was born the result of a green flight as many children are wont to be. While his mother has never confirmed his paternity, his name points to a specific brownrider and that's rather enough information for him. Neither parent was close to Dash growing up; he was a slightly shy, mild mannered lower caverns child who developed an interest in art early on and practiced drawing every chance he got.

A combination of skill, luck and willing sponsorship from another Harper at the Weyr got him formally apprenticed at twelve, and off he went to the relatively local Harper Hall, where he has been attuning his drawing skills ... and other art skills, and a bit of music skills, diplomacy skills, and eavesdropping skills, and, well, everything else covered under a Harper apprenticeship ... ever since. Yet as a rider's child Dasheir was never been fully confident that crafting was where he always belonged. Certainly he loved art, and Hall life did suit him pretty well, but was he depriving a dragon of his presence?

Mostly he avoided thinking about the subject, and avoided being around for Searchriders, but midway into his sixteenth Turn the maybe-inevitable happened and Dasheir was offered a candidate knot back at Dolphin Cove. Once asked, he couldn't refuse -- the thought never so much as crossed his mind.
