Physical Description of Persona:
Taller than average and broad-shouldered, Tr’vel is the very image of a well-built dragonrider. He has warm brown skin and light brown eyes. A few Threadscars are scattered across his body. Since his retirement, he’s let his hair grow out a bit and currently keeps it in carefully styled locs of about a handspan long that flop over his eyes.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Quiet and observant, Tr’vel can sometimes come off as stern. He doesn’t suffer fools, but he also wasn’t built for holding a grudge. He’s close with many of his fellow retired riders and some of the older ones keep trying to play matchmaker and pester him about when he’s going to find a weyrmate. Tr’vel endures this meddling with fond exasperation. Secretly, he’s a bit of a romantic but hasn’t had a serious relationship since his lover died in Fall a few turns ago.
History of Persona:
Born at Thayan Peak, he began Standing as soon as he was able and Impressed blue Eboroth there. He was a teenager not long out of weyrlinghood when the Weyrhold was destroyed and he moved with the other survivors to Dolphin Cove Weyr. The return of Thread meant risking his life on a regular basis, but he took it in stride and was proud to defend Pern like the dragonriders of legend.
His hard work and Eboroth’s skill earned them a place in the Weyrleader’s Wing and they had a strong record as wingriders. Then came O’dan’s Fall. The Weyrleader made a mistake and sent the Wings into chaos. Many died that day. Eboroth caught a clump of Thread on the left side of his face. His quick reaction to duck /between/ and Tr’vel’s steady control saved the blue’s life, but the healers couldn’t save his eye.
With his dragon no longer able to fight Thread, Tr’vel was retired. He feels both relief he doesn’t need to risk his life and guilt that so many others still need to risk theirs.
His oldest child, Velaria, was the result of a lost flight. He’s still good friends with her mother, a lower caverns worker. Velaria Impressed at the Hatching where the weyrlings’ meat was poisoned and while he’s generally a forgiving man, Tr’vel now harbors a deep hatred for those responsible.

Description of Dragon:
His hide is a light blue and one of Tr’vel’s nickames for him is “Baby Blue” due to his color and small size. Where his left eye should be is a ruin of scars. Half-blinded, he can no longer fly Fall, but is perfectly healthy in every other respect. Small and acrobatic, he can still fly circles around most other dragons. A bit quiet, like his rider, but Eboroth also has a playful streak and he loves to charm the ladies.
