Physical Description of Persona:
Riadem received his dark eyes, height, and slender build from his mother, but his strong features and auburn hair from his father. He is not handsome overall, but like many of his siblings, has a wide, fetching smile that brings out dimples in his cheeks. His hands are slender and capable, with strong, long fingers that are a gift to his healercraft.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Riadem has proven to be the only one of Yriadha's son's with a strong moral compass. Right is right and wrong is wrong, with little sway to the middle road. Though there are periods where his hold-bred upbringing clashes with his craft ethics, he tends to sway more towards the ethics of his craft than to the strict ideologies of a Hold, though he certainly some retains Hold-bred bias towards how men and women should behave.

He is a dedicated Healer, preferring to work with women and children and is often called upon to attend birthings and young infants.

History of Persona:
The second son of Yriadha, Riadem grew up watching his mother struggle to raise him and his siblings while his father drank away what few resources they had. Because he looked much like his father, he was his father's favorite child, and was not as close to his mother as his other brothers proved to be. He fought with his eldest brother, Yarmel, who was big, somewhat stupid, and cruel in his bullying and often defended his younger siblings as much as he could.

Riadem chose a different path than his siblings, encouraged by his father when the man was sober, which wasn't often. He enjoyed reading and learning, so when he was twelve, against his mother's wishes, he was sent from Sunstone to Healer Hall to apprentice there.

He remained at the Hall, not returning to Sunstone until after he'd walked the tables to become a Senior Journeyman. When he returned, he found his eldest brother deceased, one sister married to an overbearing but well-respected guard, his younger brother sent off to the Weyr for a craft and his favorite and youngest sister married to a crippled, wealthy merchant.

He buried himself in his duties, helping his siblings and mother when asked, but kept to himself and kept focused on his craft. It wasn't until he discovered that his mother was the Lord Holder's mistress and had borne him a child, that he began to become fully involved with his family's well-being and attempted to take his place as the eldest son, with all the responsibilities that involved.
