Physical Description of Persona:
Ashera is a teenager whose body still declares it - hard work helping in the kitchens and chasing after the littles in the Hold have given her a form with little extra padding, exposed skin tanned from time in the sun. Brown hair is sunstreaked with hints of copper, falling well past her shoulders when unbound (though it usually remains in a variety of plaits). Her eyes are blue with a hint of stormy grey. Not quite having attained her full height, she stands at 5" even, and her weight is around 120lbs.

She dresses in sensible daily wear, sturdy dresses that tend to hide stains and solid leather footwear. When called out for Gathers or formal events, she cleans up quite prettily, with a tendency to wear a variety of bracelets, woven of natural materials or made of wood, metal or leather.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Ashera's patience has a limit, though it's hard to see: usually she is one to whom the children come running when they are injured, and even some of her girlfriends come to her to cry when things just aren't going their way. Ashera can only bottle up her own problems so far, and when her temper finally emerges, it is a fierce thing and takes time to be calmed and cooled; when it has, it is gone, and the frustration - or grudge - is forgotten.

She is, otherwise, a clever and generally cheerful teenager, not always in control of her tongue or at the top of her game, but showing signs of improvement with age. She picks up on new things quickly, doing best with visual guides and hands-on practise. She tries very hard to keep herself respectable and above reproach, but in the end - is still just a teenage girl, learning how to hold herself as an adult woman and how to conduct herself to yield the reactions and behaviours she wants to see in herself and others.

She strongly dislikes being commanded about, and treated like that breeding beast, and holds on to any scrap of power she gets. Ashera doesn't know what she wants in life, aside from the ability to hold on tightly with both hands to whatever authority she ends up with.

History of Persona:
Not the first child, and not the last, Ashera has been growing up squarely in the middle of her family and Hold. She was the second daughter and the fourth of the children overall born to Asell and Herolla of Emerald Falls Hold. Three Turns separate Ashera from her older brother Lesh, and a miscarriage between Ashera's birth and her younger sister Lasella explains the five Turn difference. Ashera was quickly tasked with supervising her younger sister and the sibs that followed, and at ten Turns began assisting in the creche and as a cook's helper in the kitchens, though she completed her Harper classes promptly when she turned twelve.

In the intervening six Turns, Ashera's learned about the existence of boys, had a handful of flirtations but nothing more. A good Holder's daughter, she understands that she cannot afford to have anything serious - daughters are like runners and other beasts, the breeding a high consideration, and the viable matches that can be made. She cannot afford to have a bad reputation.

It is a bit unexpected she has a fire-lizard; the egg had been meant for her brother-in-law, part of the wedding negotiations for her sister Sella's wedding. Ashera had been tending the fire in her family's chambers when the egg hatched, days earlier than expected, and the wrath of her father was almost insurmountable when it was revealed that she had Impressed the small brown.

Ashera isn't entirely sure what she wants to do - there's the expectation from her parents that she will make a good marriage, mother lots of little children, and be a good wife. At sixteen, she's pretty sure that she doesn't have much of a choice in the matter, however. She might want to become a Headwoman somewhere one day, either succeeding Wellinna at Emerald Hills, at a Crafthall (since even _they_ need Headwomen and servers!) or another Hold somewhere.

Klah, Brown Firelizard: aged 11, hatched m3 d15
Klah is uncreatively named, but a true descriptor. The colour of klah with cream added along the body, his ridges, the tip of his tail and his muzzle are darker in hue. At his full growth, the fire-lizard prefers to spend his time lazing in the sunshine and chattering with others, dragon or other fire-lizards alike. He has been well-trained to send messages, and he is equally astute at helping her watch the children of the hold, and alerting her when trouble may be in the offing.
