Physical Description of Persona:
Gesamael is a well built young man of average stature with flaming red hair and blue eyes that are always full of cheerful mischief. His complexion is just dusky enough to let him spend his time outdoors, but too much sun without precautions inevitably lands him in the infirmary with sunburns and an unmanly peeling nose.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Gesamael has a sense of humor that generally tilts towards the ribald and sarcastic. He has a true gift for satire that he uses not only in his writings, but whenever he gets the chance. Making people laugh is what he lives for, though he'll settle for making them blush if he can. When he sets pen to paper, though, no matter how much he enjoys laughter and blushes, he often is hoping to make people think.

Underneath the sarcasm and lewd jokes is a man who feels very strongly about the world around him. His sharply critical satirical essays on the situation of women outside the Weyrs have reached enough people that he dreams of being able to make a difference, even if it's only by making the instigators of the greatest crimes look like fools.

History of Persona:
Gesamael was born in Garnet Valley Hold to a pair of young cotholders. His uncle was a brozerider at River Bluff Weyrhold, and still very close to his mother. From a young age he was granted trips to visit the Weyr, where he fell in love with the dragons.

Although everyone expected him to go to the Weyr when he reached the proper age, he surprised his parents by asking if he could be apprenticed at the Printer Hall at Topaz Seahold. At first it seemed a little strange to be apprenticed alongside women, but their obvious skill made him realize how foolish it was to lock women out of the crafts when they could contribute so much.

When the hurricane destroyed the Printer Hall, Gesamael decided to take refuge with his uncle at River Bluff instead of joining the Hall at Emerald Falls. He received permission to stand at the Hatchings, and is hoping that a dragon might find him interesting before he grows too old to Stand.
