Physical Description of Persona:
X’rion’s life is lived fast, high, and all at once, and with a devil-may-care attitude evident in more ways than one. He’s got the dragonrider walk down pat, all easy confidence and certainty of his place in the world. Muscle's been building steadily on a just taller than average frame, and the one threadscore he’s gotten-- so far-- is worn like a badge of honor, an undisputed rite of passage banding his right shoulder. He wears his shiny dark brown hair long, which waves comically wild when it's wet, and has a perpetual windswept quality that is rarely tamed unless he really tries, and he rarely does. He's gravitating more and more to leathers these days, and those he does try to keep in pristine condition for as long as possible.

Just settling into the hard, clean lines of the dragonrider physique, all of X'rion's bright youthful softness is starting to sculpt away into a more distinct, roguish masculinity. His face is beset with soft hazel eyes that sparkle with mirth, good humor, and occasionally challenge, and appear a dazzling amber in certain lights. There's a sharp smile when it shows, more often an amused quirk of lips, and a sleekness of jaw that wears a growing shadow of stubble these days-- partly because X’rion likes seeing it come in and partly because he can't be bothered to actually shave every day. Dimples in either cheek linger whether he's happy and smiling or annoyed and frowning, and, unfortunately for him, he's still far more cute than devastatingly handsome.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Never, not once, has X’rion been called shy. Not just as an obvious extrovert, but because he's never found a reason to be.

He greets the world with a wide smile and a hefty dose of good humor, and still half-expects the world to smile back, even when things get dark and grim. He's not naive-- he's smart, quick-witted, perceptive and they help him to be a solid wingrider-- but a genuine belief in the lightness of life keeps him firmly camped in a realm of openness, possibility and optimism. Things _will_ work out, and if they haven’t yet, then he’ll find a way to help make it happen. Once he sets his mind on something, he has a tendency to believe in it whole-heartedly, with all of his being, until unequivocally proven otherwise.

He finds friends quickly, easily making himself a steadfast fixture in their lives often before they’ve even realized it: always up for socializing, eager to lend a hand, and he’s level-headed enough to offer some good advice when it counts. Whether they really want it is another thing, but it’s the desire to help that drives him. He cares. He doesn't take trivial things personally. He knows how to organize himself effectively even in a crisis and doesn't hesitate to pursue what needs to be done. He doesn't quite have the patience, though-- not yet, maybe ever. There are adrenaline junky tendencies already wide and deep, drawing him to excitement like a moth to a flame. He likes the physical world of dragonriding, he likes loud parties and hanging out and, like many Weyrbrats, he also struggles to understand personal space. It’s partly because he has very few boundaries to cross himself, and because he and Angualdith are so in sync he rarely questions his dragon's judgment, rarely remembers to do so unless it becomes obvious one of them has unwittingly made a mistake.

Bright and charming, X’rion’s a hard guy to piss off. But when something does, it is best to get out of his way. He tends to burn through his anger fast and hard like a flame doused in fuel, with an intense aversion to disrespect and any kind of unfair treatment. He's just as loud, even more impatient, and he's been known to say things he quickly regrets.

History of Persona:
The son of a lower caverns worker and a bluerider of Dragonsfall, he was born Xeradrion and raised close underfoot by his parents alongside a large number of foster siblings. With his paternal side dominated by blue, however, there was little doubt even as a youngster about where his ambitions lay. What little there is to know of Xeradrion's early life was mostly outlined in weyrbrat pranks and a particularly vehement disdain for classroom lessons. His boundless energy and stubborn refusal to learn what he deemed unimportant put his harpers through their paces, and his parents frequently wondered what they would do with him. He had little desire to join the ranks of the support staff, he hardly wanted the life of a crafter, but his step-father took him under his wing at twelve and it was here Xeradrion found, then honed, what developed in his interests in the smithy. He learned how to be useful for once, how to apply himself to one thing rather than everything all at once-- something his harpers would never have thought possible. The space between the heat and the hammer became his element, and he did well, the items he forged a source of immense pride, and he still dabbles from time to time.

It was only a slight shock that an older brother Impressed. Then a sister. If his family needed to persuade Xeradrion of anything, it was to keep up his studies and build a solid repertoire of skills to draw on in the future-- not just dragon dreams. When the Pass commenced and the Weyr rallied into new rhythms, he did not Impress at twelve like he thought (hoped, prayed, begged), nor in the next class, either. Each subsequent clutch yielded the same disappointment up until his sixteenth turn, when he was of fighting age.

Angualdith finally appeared, and it turned out he shared the same determination as his rider.

Together they found a good balance, graduating near the top of their class. X'rion never looked back, settling into the fighting wings relatively easily, finally in a place where he belonged, the work suited him, and the duties were almost as much fun as the perks.

Dragon's Name: Angualdith
Dragon's Age: 2
Dragon's Hatching Date: m8 d9
Dragon's Hatching Place: Dragonsfall Weyr
Dragon's Colour: Brown
Description of Dragon:
Angualdith is a big solid boy, but unusually lean and streamlined looking rather than stocky. He topped off on the upper end for a brown, closer to a small bronze, although lacking the kind of heft and bulk one would expect. He is packed with a fine layer of muscle, however-- his deep chest powerful and his shoulders rippling with obvious strength. His movements are sure, never hesitant, and he possesses an innate sense of balance on land and in the air alike.

His coloration is deep earthy brown, dark like soil after heavy rain. It lightens gradually on his wingsails into a warm golden brown, an ombre effect that is most striking when he’s well-oiled and under direct sunlight, with that same warm toasty color licking the edges of his paws.

A quick study, Angualdith is sharp in mind as well as tongue. He's a keen learner and picks things up quickly, almost too quickly sometimes. He grasps the point of anything almost instantly, rarely needing to be told twice, and often without much leeway afforded to those who do need more time or information before making a decision. This dragon hunts for answers like they're a meal, and he's determined to eat well. He's got intense focus so long as it has his interest, though the majority of what holds it tends to be things he’s good at. X'rion's faith in him may be assumed, but it is not taken for granted, and he is the astute, logical anchor anytime his rider gets too wrapped up in his own thoughts.

With a bronze’s high opinion of himself and those who impress him, he’s a plucky guy, all piss and vinegar when riled. And although he is undeniably talented, that intense dedication to his pursuits and friends immediately apparent, his merits are not tempered with much humility. Oh, he’s a fiercely brave threadfighter and a great dragon to have in formation when the weather takes a turn, as he adapts quickly and seamlessly, without panic or indecision. He knows what’s expected of him inside and out, and he _will_ deliver his all, solidly, every time. But while Angualdith is not especially boisterous or as extroverted as his rider, he fully believes his talents make him hot shit, and he has a good sense of how to get attention when he wants it. Just as loud as X’rion when excited, just as hot-headed when pushed, he's got less of the charm and probably more grudges than he can remember.
