Physical Description of Persona:
R'vayn has short-cropped, dirty blonde hair, which streaks a bit lighter in the summer when more time is spent outdoors. His frame is lean and wiry and kept in excellent shape thanks to a regular exercise regimen. At 6’0”, he is no slouch and carries himself with ease and confidence. He has hazel eyes, an easy smile, and laugh lines at the corners of his eyes. He’s the ‘no fuss, no muss’ type and is most comfortable in his riding clothes and a couple days' growth on his face.
Emotional Description of Persona:
R'vayn is not the gregarious sort, and while he doesn’t make very many friends, he’s had no trouble finding women, although keeping them is another story. The few people that have remained constant in his life can all be traced back to the group of Candidates that became his clutchmates when he Impressed.
He has a sharp wit and tongue, which was an issue as he was rising through the ranks of Dragonsfall, where a smart mouth wasn’t always appreciated by his Wingleaders.
An introvert outside of the bedroom, R’vayn likes solitude and quiet time and detests small-talk. He has a very strong sense of ‘right and ‘wrong’ and isn’t easily pressured by outside influences to change his opinions.
History of Persona:
R’vayn was born to a pair of dragonriders at Dragonsfall Wer, named Redivayn after a long line of dragonriders who also shared a similar name. Redivale, Redithar, Redimere, and so on, the line goes. He has lived his entire life in one place and considers himself better for it. Over the course of his life, R’vayn has watched other Weyrs crumble and fall - looking at you River Bluff - and other Weyrs struggle to keep stable leadership with a rotating door of goldriders.
As a child, R’vayn’s parents were firm believers of Thread’s return, and this trickled down and formed an unbreakable stronghold belief for him. While others doubted the silvery menace’s return, the purpose of dragonriders, and whether living in a Weyr was even worth it, he and his family always held true to the belief that a dragonrider’s duty would always be to protect Pern.
Living during an Interval gave R’vayn more time than a Pass dragonrider, and so he joined the Harpercraft - despite his firm belief that a craft wouldn’t be needed since Thread _would_ return.
His heritage and upbringing made R’vayn a little snobbish, which made him somewhat unpleasant in his teenage Turns. He often did not see why the Weyr even bothered seeking Hold or Hallborn candidates when there were plenty of _better_ Weyrborn choices.
It wasn’t until he met a girl in his Candidate class that he found his best friend. They didn’t necessarily have the easiest start to their friendship, but the unlikely pair remained close all the way into adulthood. There were times when R’vayn wanted to take the relationship beyond friendship, but the time was never right or a lover got in the way - his or hers.
R’vayn has one son that he knows of, and true to tradition, he carried on the family name. He hopes to see his own son become a Dragonsfall dragonrider as well.
The stable life R’vayne enjoyed at Dragonsfall became rocky when Weyrwoman Hygalia ran off to the North. Although the new Weyrwoman, Saibra, stayed longer than any other goldrider of the Pass, her arrival brought a series of new Weyrleaders, and not all were good. Things especially became precarious when I’serin of River Bluff became Weyrleader and promoted River Bluff transplants. As a proud Dragonsfall native, R’vayn harbored resentment toward the outsiders.
It was a relief when his clutchmate, and old friend, K’valdran returned to Dragonsfall just in time to win Chioneth’s flight.

Dragon's Name: Cioreth
Dragon's Age: 24
Dragon's Hatching Date: m13 d1
Dragon's Colour: Bronze
Description of Dragon:
Cioreth is a russet bronze with brilliant, vibrant hues of burnished amber gilding his wingsails, belly, and running the length of his neck up to his lower jaw. There is nothing beige about this bronze, not in his coloring nor in his personality. In size, he ranks on the larger end of the scale for bronzes. A few blemishes mar his hide along his back left flank, scars from those early Threadfall battles when the spores returned.
Strong-willed and opinionated, Cioreth is all the things R’vayn is on the inside, just on the outside. From his rider, Cioreth picked up sarcasm and witty retorts. Also like his rider, Cioreth is exceptionally good at finding a green to warm his weyrledge with him.
