Physical Description of Persona:
A tall, slender young man, there is a composed elegance to Qelhelias that sets him apart from his weyrbred peers. It shows in the smooth, compelling cadence when he speaks and in the way he moves--graceful not by instinct, but by instruction. Every word and gesture tuned to harmony by Turns spent in Harper study. Considering his craft, it’s no wonder that his build speaks not of strength, but of refinement: broad shoulders tapering to narrow hips, an attractive illusion of power born more from proportion than muscle.

He takes after his father with a warm olive complexion and dark, watchful eyes framed by thick lashes. There is an intensity to his gaze, not sharp, but steady. When he turns his attention to a thing or person, it’s as though his world winnows down to that singular point.

While many weyrborn opt to style their hair in a longer, windswept look, Qelhelias’ cuts his short in the fashion of the hall--the inky curls cropped close to his crown, dark rings brushing across his forehead and the nape of his neck. His features are well sculpted, a mix of masculine breadth and pleasing angularity that gives him a very male beauty.

Emotional Description of Persona:
There’s a quiet weight to Qelhelias, the kind that builds not from ego, but from thoughtfulness. He listens as much as he speaks, and when he speaks, it’s with precision--every word carefully placed, like a note in a well orchestrated melody. Words, he knows from his father, can be weapons, and can be wielded with force or with charm. He tends towards the latter, preferring to please people into compliance.

Qelhelias is keenly observant--always watching, always parsing the undercurrents of a moment, of mood. There’s an intensity behind his eyes--a hunger to understand things as they are and maybe, just maybe, to make them better and carve his name upon the world.

Measured, perceptive and self-possessed, he’s a young man who appears to have found peace in his place beside his father’s long shadow. After several turns as a journeyman harper, he is relatively secure with a self-forged sense of worth.

History of Persona:
Weyr relationships are tricky. Born Kelhelias to fair haired Elhelia and Kyperion in the Lower Caverns of Dragonsfall, Qelhelias was switched to the “Q” spelling after his olive complexion and inky curls made it abundantly clear that his father was likely Q’vettan… the bronzerider that the couple were having a torrid affair with. It was a minor scandal at the weyr and Q’vettan’s longtime weyrmate almost left him over it.

Qelhelias grew up under the layered auspice of the weyr’s creche, his parents, and three sets of grandparents--including those he inherited from Q’vettan who, to his credit, didn’t deny him. There was some initial awkwardness, but the bronzerider acknowledged the boy. Even after transferring North to open Igen Weyr, he still made a point of checking in whenever duty or leisure brought him back to Dragonsfall.

As he came of age, Qelhelias began standing for Impression. When he didn’t Impress immediately, his sire pushed him to become a harper and get a trade and an education. With Q’vettan’s connections it was a simple matter to secure Qelhelias an apprenticeship.

He took to it well. Over the Turns he rose from apprentice to journeyman, focusing on law. He found he liked the order of it, the history and impact. More and more it seems like Impression won’t happen for him, but Qelhelias is alright with that. He _likes_ his Harper work. He’s spent the last two turns on a journeyman rotation throughout the southern cotholds. It suits him-- new places, new questions, the steady rhythm of service and song.

Recently, Qelhelias has returned to Dragonsfall on a new temporary assignment and, perhaps out of habit or hope or simple respect, he’ll Stand for the next clutch.

Lyrasanth is a luminous sea-green dragon. She is large for her type, but her build is elegant and quick, every line clean and balanced. In the air she is a darting streak of color, banking and wheeling with playful precision, while on the ground she carries herself with bright alertness-- head tilted, eyes whirling with interest at every passing thing.

Her mind is as lively as her movements. Lyrasanth approaches the world with sparkling curiosity, endlessly fascinated by people, conversations, and the strange contradictions of human behavior. Where Q'helias observes in thoughtful silence, she asks questions-- sometimes thoughtful, sometimes mischievous, always eager to understand. She delights whenever she discovers some new puzzle in the hearts and motives of others. She loves the cleverness of Q'helias’s words and arguments, but nudges him gently toward action when he might otherwise watch and ponder too long.
