Physical Description of Persona:
He has thick black hair that he keeps carefully styled to look artfully messy. His dark brown eyes are framed by long lashes. The demands of dragonriding have kept him fit, though his muscles are lean rather than bulky. Z’kim loves to dress up and wear the latest fashions at Hatchings and Gathers, but prefers more comfortable, casual wear for everyday use.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Casual, sarcastic and easy-going, Z’kim mostly takes life as it comes. He doesn’t like to be bored, though, and he’ll stir up a little drama if things start to get too dull.

In his early twenties the increased clutch sizes brought an influx of holdbred Candidates with holdbred ideas. Suddenly exposed to people who looked down on him for his sexuality, he quickly developed a poor opinion of holders. Age and maturity have mellowed this a little, but he’s still prickly about it. He rarely passes up an opportunity to ruffle holder feathers.

He has many bedmates but avoids romance. People who fall in love get hurt and he’s not about to tie himself in knots for some man, no matter how a good a lay he is.

History of Persona:
Zarakim grew up at Far Island Weyr where he Impressed green Warroth. When Dream’s End opened in 1196 he moved there, interested in reviving the old Weyr and liking the idea of meeting many new people. One of those new people was bronzerider N’vanik, who became his neighbor. With the Weyr needing more riders than they had space for, larger weyrs were divided in two with their dragons sharing a ledge and so Z’kim joked that N’vanik was his “weyrmate” . They became fast friends and their dragons also formed a strong bond.

For Turns they saw each other practically every day, and then N’vanik lost his mentor, punched his new Wingleader, and was sent to Dragonsfall. Z’kim played it cool, but the distance �" physical and emotional �" hurt him more than he wanted to admit. After N’vanik fell in love (what was he thinking?) and became Weyrleader of Dolphin Cove (what was he _thinking_?!?), the bronzerider made a serious effort to reconnect and they’re once again close friends.

Then there’s the whole thing where they recently started sleeping together outside of flights . . .

A sweet, amiable dragon most of the time, she also has a sassy streak. Her hide is a darker malachite green with lighter shading on her wings. She excels at Threadfighting but tends to get bored at drills because practice isn’t nearly as exciting as the real thing. She’s very fond of Loseth and choses him to win most of her flights.
