Physical Description of Persona:
Dark-haired and dark-eyed, Mirona has a pinning kind of beauty to her. She can appear innocent and sweet with one look or swiftly shift into a resting bitch face stare with the next. Her 5’7 frame is a mix of strength and curves, with her hair falling mid-back in soft waves. She is meticulous about her appearance, though less so now that she’s a mother. While her alto voice is usually even in tone, she knows how to pitch it commandingly.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Mirona is a woman who strives against the odds. As someone who has had to sleep in the bed she has made, she is well aware of the consequences of her actions and the burdens she’s taken on from them. Not to say that she has learned to be more cautious, no. Tempered would be a good word to describe her on the surface, while simmering would be more accurate. Beneath the demure is a woman aflame, ready to tackle challenges head-on, even if it means biting off someone’s head every so often.

While others would laughingly say Mirona is fearless, she is not. She is full of fears -- of being caged, of being hurt, of being unloved, of being a failure -- and it is more accurate to say that she is driven by these fears to make something more of her life than what was originally intended. She enjoys spending time with her son and friends, cooking a hearty meal and sharing memories, or lively outings with music.

History of Persona:
Mirona will say that she began her life as a spoiled brat. As the daughter of an ambitious and wealthy tailor, her family had plans to leverage her into a marriage that would improve their social standing. Her parents expected charm and etiquette; she, in turn, expected finer material things. As a result, Mirona learned how to manipulate and leverage others to get what she wanted, while falsely believing that she was helping others. But she also learned that love came with conditionals.

This selfish streak followed her into her teenage Turns, where, poised to capitulate on her family’s dreams via an extravagant engagement, Mirona decided that she would burn every bridge instead to go the Weyr to become a Weyrwoman, the pinnacle of feminine success in her young eyes. She cared nothing for her family’s disownment of her because she firmly believed that she would Impress a dragon.

She was left Standing, every time, until she could Stand no more.

By then, Mirona had gained some hard wisdom, realizing that there was more to the world than her selfish desires. She began to think of her future, how to craft something from nothing. Though she still made plenty of mistakes along the next five Turns, Mirona began working in the Lower Caverns with the Headwoman and her team, picking up the skills it took to keep a large community running smoothly. While she will say that trying to convince a dragonrider to be her weyrmate was a poor decision (they were truly just ill-suited for each other), there was nothing negative she could say about the birth of her son, Mirasoren. Becoming a mother changed Mirona in many ways.

But eventually, Mirona, surrounded by the dragons that had inevitably rejected her, decided that the Weyr was not the place for her to create that future. Unable to return to her home Hold, Mirona struck out to Green Valley, intending to offer what she had learned from helping the Headwoman to the struggling Hold.

A gift from a suitor when Mirona was sixteen, Rascal is a beautiful ultramarine blue and wears a gaudily beaded collar naming his owner. He lives up to his name by stealing things often.
