Physical Description of Persona:
J'ler, born Jadirel, is tall and slim but well-muscled. He has his father's strong jaw and nose. His eyes are greenish hazel. His hair dark brown, mostly straight but with a slight wave the longer it grows, and he has been wearing it long. His skin is light brown with a dusting of freckles across the bridge of his nose and cheeks, and he is beginning to grow a hint of a scruffy mustache and goatee.

Emotional Description of Persona:
J'ler puts everything into anything he does. Subtlety is lost on him. He is cheerful and outgoing and finds it easy to strike up conversations, loving to be the center of attention. He wants to be the best, and he gets frustrated easily when he finds that most things take quite a bit of work to be good at. He is competitive and will either use the desire to outperform his peers to overcome his frustration and improve, or he will give up and move on to the next thing to try to find something he is better suited to.

History of Persona:
Jadirel was born at River Bluff Weyr, the younger of Jadirah's two children. He got his mother's outgoing nature and spent most of his childhood trying to keep all eyes on him, whether by acting silly or impressing folks however he could. Whatever he found success in, he strive to draw attention to, and whenever he failed, he immediately sought redirection to some other focus.

He tried to apprentice to the Tanners to follow after his father, but this attempt was short lived, as Jadirel could not stomach the smell. He bounced from job to job, mostly content to perform the simple, menial tasks where it was easy to feel that he was good at it simply by being athletic or detail oriented.

At Dragonsfall after River Bluff was destroyed, Jadirel found that he enjoyed working in the kitchens � whether in the scullery or as a potwatch or even just carrying things. He loved the feeling of creating something delicious for everyone to enjoy, even if he was only helping the real cooks.

Jadirel tried not to let on how devastating the loss of his home was and how deeply he missed his father when he left. He could not help but feel it was because of his failure to become a Tanner that A'kades left, no matter how many times he heard otherwise. His real chance to win back his father's approval would be to Impress a huge, hulking bronze like Volaith.

But that chance, too, went by the wayside when he Impressed Maishoth, a slim and gangly brown, and became J'ler.

Description of Dragon:
Maishoth is small for a brown. His hide is sandy brown, lighter than most. The biggest blues will outsize him, and he is slimmer and lither than most of his brown brethren. He started off lanky and gangly, but he filled out into a sleek, swift hunter. He is hyperfocused on achieving his next goal, on working harder, on being smarter, and on taking the initiative. He constantly pushes his rider to go above and beyond his expected station and will never stop prodding him to excel, to ask for more responsibility, and to step up and take a leadership role.

And while Maishoth can absolutely succeed in such a role, he will always shine much brighter in a supporting role. His true talent lies in amplifying others, in bringing out the best in his colleagues and comrades. And this will rankle him. He will always want to be the one leading the vanguard, even when he can recognize it is not where he will serve most effectively.
