Physical Description of Persona:
Venasa is tall and willowy, an obvious sign of her runner heritage. She shows little in the way of womanly curves, and believes that because of this men do not find her attractive. She has long, brilliant red hair that she has been growing her entire life, and not had the heart to cut since impressing. Typically Venasa opts to tie her hair back in a long braid to keep it out of her face, although on special occasions she may decide to wear it down. Despite two turns of dragonriding Venasa still has fair skin that does not appear to ever tan. Instead she freckles, and has a cute line of them running across her nose. She despises the freckles, feeling that they make her look much younger than she really is. Venasa's large, bright green eyes cap off her innocent appearance.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Growing up in a Runner Station and Tavern has had an interesting effect on the otherwise typical craftbred girl. Venasa was raised to believe in monogamous relationships and occasionally has a hard time with the openess found around the Weyr. She was raised by her mother to respect men and to know her place amongst them (as the mother of their children, nothing more and nothing less). Conversely she was brought up in a Tavern, and learned from the frequently rowdy visitors to express her opinions and to hold nothing back.

Venasa has quite a temper that she is generally able to keep under control, although when someone displeases her, or if she gets into a debate with another rider, beware, because as soon as she looses control, something will end up broken.

History of Persona:
Venasa was born the daughter or a young Journeyman runner and a kitchen worker at Dark Ravine Runner Station.She saw little of her father durning her early years, but loved him nonetheless. She began helping in the tavern shortly after her 12th birthingday, and never imagined leading a life outside of the Station.

It was not until Venasa learned of her betrothal to a man more than twice her age that she considered leaving her home. She truly despised the man and could not envision spending the rest of her life with him. When Venasa overheard a runner from a nearby station telling of the large clutch on River Bluff Weyr's sands, she decided to try her luck at impressing. That night she left Dark Ravine, and following the traces she made her way to the Weyr.

To Venasa's surprise no one stood in her way of becoming a candidate, and she impressed early in her first standing- Tayleth was the first green to hatch. She completed Weyrlinghood at River Bluff, but asked for a transfer shortly after graduating- she knew too many of the runners who came by the Weyr, and she was often worried that she would run into her father, or former fiance and cause a major conflict. Dragonsfall Weyr was the first Weyr to respond, saying that they would accept a new greenrider.

Venasa has settled into her new Weyr fairly well, making a few friends, a few enemies, but not a lover. The only men that she has been with are the winners of her mating flights, and she still finds that she is uncomfortable around most men.

Tayleth is a dark green dragon, who is larger than the average green. She is quiet and rather untalkative, prefering to interact with her rider through her strong presence. When Tayleth does talk Venasa listens carefully, knowing that the green must have something important to say.
