Thankful that they had managed with help to get out of the Weyr in
time, Rhosyn had decided to do the most natural thing that calmed
her-she wanted food. Feeling the little one inside her move around,
she knew the child had become excited with all the activity. Taking a
breath, she followed N'vanik into the Dining Cavern and found a seat.
Getting comfortable, she was glad when a glass of water was put in
front of her with the promise of food to come.

Looking around, she spotted a woman with gold knots. She didn't know
her. **So that's the new one** Finishing her drink, she put the glass
down and brought her head back up, cat eyes focusing on Saibra. They
were about the same turns-that was clear. Leaning forward slightly,
she tried to get the other rider's attention. "Clear skies to you!"

R'enh following behind N'vanik and Rhosyn followed the direction of
her gaze to where Saibra was. A smiled curved his lips and he beckoned
her over with a tilt of his head.

Saibra had been in the midst of a conversation with her teenaged
daughter, mostly about some dragonhealing techniques that Saidrene
had been learning about in class, and so the other goldrider's 'call'
went completely unheard. If it hadn't been for Saidrene noticing that
a group of people were looking at her mother, the Weyrwoman's
Second probably would have passed by without a second glance.

"I think they're wanting you, Mom." Saidrene, a nearly identical
version of her mother, said as her eyes roved over the individuals at
the table. She recognized Weyrleader N'vanik, and she recognized
R'enh, since he was a frequent visitor to her mother's weyr, but the
obviously pregnant woman was a stranger to her.

Glancing over at the table, Saibra's eyes met with R'enh's first,
which automatically brought a small smirk to her lips. Next, just as
her daughter had, Saibra noticed N'vanik and the woman seated with
R'enh. Her blue eyes landed briefly on Rhosyn's shoulder knots and
she quickly put two and two together. R'enh had mentioned before
that he was long-time friends with the River Bluff Weyrwoman.

"We'll talk later." Saibra put a hand to her daughter's shoulder,
realizing for the first time that Saidrene was nearly her equal in
height. That made her feel old.

"See ya." Saidrene left, having no interest in getting into the
dull conversation of adults.

The Weyrwoman's Second walked over to the table, "N'vanik, R'enh," she
nodded to the two bronzeriders, "and Rhosyn, I have heard about you.
It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Saibra."

"You as well. I admit- I haven't heard much. Forgive me for not getting
up but I just spent some time getting my rather large self up and down a
rather large dragon. Please join us though, if you wish." Rhosyn gave her
a smile and gestured to an empty seat. Goldriders on Pern were few and
it was good to know the others.

Saibra waved a hand of dismissal, "I've had two children, I quite
understand what a chore simple things can be." She said as she took a
seat at the table. Looking over at R'enh she winked by way of a more
intimate greeting to the bronzerider.

And that caught Rhosyn's attention. Of course she and R'enh were friends
now so she had no claim over him and didn't expect to. N'vanik was her focus.
However, she did keep track of what he was doing-especially when it was with
other goldriders. She wondered if N'vanik knew. The two Seconds-now that could
be easily done. "So how do you like Dolphin Cove?"

N'vanik was sitting close to Rhosyn and felt like he was hovering.
Well, what was wrong with hovering around the woman pregnant with your
child? He planned to duck out in a bit and explain to Tal what was
going on but he wasn't quite ready to leave yet.

R'enh smiled at Saibra's wink and lifted his chin as his eyes
crinkled. He leaned toward her when she took her seat. "Vilarth rose
and Rhosyn and Orlaith had to get away on short notice."

Saibra didn't understand how the rising of another gold could have
snuck up on the Weyrwoman since golds glowed for days before they
actually rose but still she was glad for the opportunity to meet
the woman, "I am enjoying it here very much. The.. " she glanced at
R'enh, "scenery here is much preferred. Not to mention working with
Cyradis is a dream." She couldn't have asked for a better
working relationship.

Chioneth lazed on her ledge content to snooze since she had given the
River Bluff Queen her customary greeting when she had entered the
Weyr.

"Ah well I wish you the best. I know Cyradis is glad to have you." She
wished she had as many golds, but it looked as if she would have to
breed her own. So be it. "And N'vanik too." She gave him a pointed
look. "Oh right, and R'enh." She reached a hand out to touch his
cheek with a small smile before leaning back and putting that Rhosyn-pregnant-look
on her face. **Little one, calm down. It's okay. You don't have to
kick my ribs. We're out of danger**

Saibra hid a soft chuckle of amusement behind her hand. She wasn't
sure if Rhosyn was just being casual or if Rhosyn was one of _those_
goldriders- the kind that had to have the attention of every male in
the Weyr. Saibra had instructed and counseled more than one young
goldrider with those same tendencies. Sometimes the attention-seeking
got better with maturity, and some women simply never outgrew it period.

}: You have an appointment with a pregnant greenrider to make. Silfath
says her rider is on her way to your office.:{ Chioneth interrupted
Saibra's private musings.

"It was nice meeting you lady Rhosyn, hopefully we will have the
pleasure of meeting again soon. I have an appointment to make." Saibra
stood, "N'vanik," she inclined her head to the Weyrleader and then
nodded to the Weyrsecond, "R'enh." And with that the Dolphin Cove
goldrider left the trio.

N'vanik decided it was time to get moving. "Will you be okay if
I leave you for a bit? I have some things to take care of." Rhosyn
looked much calmer now.

R'enh too rose from his seat. "I have to repair a strap before the
next drill," he smiled. "But I'll come find you later and we can
catch up, alright?" With that he turned and strode off toward his
weyr.

She watched everyone leave and found herself alone. Rhosyn enjoyed
the quiet after everything and simply ate slowly and drank at her own
pace. It had been a long time since she had visited Dolphin Cove and she
couldn't help but think about how things changed. That look between R'enh and
Saibra...Rhosyn had never winked at him. No-there had never been any outward
affection. That would have been weakness. But behind closed doors, he had
been the rock she'd broken herself upon. Now, though, she could stand on her
own.

"Mmmm do what you will R'enh if that's what you want." She smiled to
herself and then tried not to think about those things N'vanik had to take
care of.
