All day.

This headache had chased him all day and it was a little embarrassing to have to tell his wingmate that he couldn't quite comprehend what they were saying, despite knowing the words, despite hearing the sounds. L’kav wasn’t sure he’d make it through another like this, at least not without doing something stupid. A trembling intensity had stretched between rider and dragon _all day_, building so steadily that it almost felt impossible to reach an end.

She of course left him to deal with it, asleep while he warred with the urge to shed blood, see flesh - the more human outlets of which would have meant yanking someone aside or into a bloody fight, or both.

It wasn't mercy, but it sure felt like it when Feyonth’s ear-splitting challenge finally broke the evening air. No concept of lateness. No need to fret over the overcast grey sky, not when her hide glowed in radiant rebellion as if Rubkat itself lit it from inside. She stretched on her ledge with slow, sinuous grace and _knew_. It was the precise and most perfect time.

L’kav wasn’t far from the feeding pens when she plunged, herdbeasts lowing and scattering in mortal terror. Her eyes purpled with her passion and her throat streaked wetly dark and hotly red all at once. Feyonth raised her head high to screech yet another challenge. Anger, lust, thrill. It was all rocketing to the surface at that exact moment, and with it all carefully imposed distance between her and the fiercest, most driven males of Dragonsfall simply fell away. Gulping blood down like it was air, she _dared_ them closer. Deigned and desired and demanded those bold enough to try.

}:She’s so beautiful:{ Kadeth said to his lifemate in a wistful voice.

**Who’s that?** S’vin had also just had a busy day of drills and then searchrider lessons after and wanted nothing so much than to just curl up with a good book and a nice glass of wine. But if the rider was cute…and a boy… **Who is it?**

}:Feyonth:{

Oh dear Faranth! **Chase! Chase!**

Book thrown to the floor and wine forgotten, S’vin all but ran out of his weyr and down the long flight of steps that would lead to the lower caverns. L’kav was gorgeous!

}:It's finally time to go on the hunt.:{ Pesrath told M'yvak. The blue had recently fed, and so he sat perched atop the Weyr, watching Feyonth gorge on blood.

**Um..? Hunt?** M'yvak questioned, perking up. He saw through Pesrath's eyes the familiar figure of L'kav's green, and a big grin spread across his face. **_That_ hunt. Go hunt, my friend.** The Searchrider hurried from the Dining Cavern.

Roquath had been preoccupied all day. He knew which greens were about to go up with uncanny accuracy, especially for an animal that had no short-term memory. But today wasn't the day, it seemed, even though the brown was extra distracted during drills, which only stressed out the newest Wingsecond further.

E'kavas had finally got the kids started on bedtime routines when a draconic scream echoed from outside, and Roquath's roar answered with the pounding of wingbeats as he took off from the ledge. Dangit. "I'll be right back." He called as he grabbed his shoes. "Kevia, please make sure 'Nico goes to bed on time!"

"Tell Roquath good luck!" Ellenico called back.

He would not. The beast didn't need encouragement.

Neither was encouragement needed for sleek Napeth, whose ultramarine blue hide glowed with anticipation as he fixated on Feyonth. I'lon had lost the argument to be had that sleeping with one's Wingmates could lead to unnecessary friction within the Wing and left that drama to Wingleaders to handle. If a dragon wanted another dragon, it would happen. He slid his hands in his pockets and merrily prowled his way toward wherever L'kav might be.
