"I don't care if your brother asked you to keep it a secret." D'hol
said to the young girl beside him, a deep frown on his face as
he approached Cyradis' door. He looked down at Kielya. "You shouldn't
have. Your mother needs to know if you're going to go on any dragon
for long flights. And so do I." The fact that Ma'din was visiting
Kielya was troublesome enough, not to mention him taking her
dragonback for sneakout sessions. He'd have to talk to the boy
himself. Bloody nuisance. He wrapped on the door and then looked back
down at his daughter. "You're to tell her immediately."

Her shoulders sagged and she gave him a stormy pout. "That's not fair.
He's nice and he's my brother."

D'hol arched a brow at the defense of Ma'din. From what he knew of his
son, he was a total and complete arse that he would be completely
content with ignoring. His lips thinned. "Fair or not, you should have
known better. " He knocked on the door again, impatient. "Life isn't
fair and your brother knew he shouldn't have been taking you out of
the Weyr." As soon as he could, he would put a stop to Ma'din visiting
Dolphin Cove.

"Yes," Cyradis said as she opened the door. "Hi," she smiled and
opened it wide to let the pair inside. She lifted a brow at Kielya's
stormy look and threw an inquiring look at D'hol.

If this hadn't been so important, he would have simply dropped Kielya
off at the creche. He'd not spoken to Cyradis except on Weyr business
since the flight. He stepped in, keeping Kielya with him and turned
her to face Cyradis. "It seems the Kielya has been keeping secrets
about visitors." He looked down at his daughter and arched a brow.
"Tell her, Kielya. Everything."

"You're so unfair," Kielya spat at him.

"Kielya!" Her mother almost gasped. "Apologize at once! D'hol is your father."

Kielya crossed her arms and clenched her jaw looking away from both
adults in attempt to ignore them both.

"What visitors Kielya," Cyradis said bending to look in her daughter's face.

Keilya whipped away and ran to fling herself onto the couch bury her
face in a pillow.

"What visitors," Cyradis repeated this time to D'hol.

D'hol frowned at his daughter's theatrics, irritated. There was
little doubt as to where she got her temper from, he mused. He turned
to Cyradis and spoke briskly. "Apparently, Ma'din has been coming to
visit her and asked her to keep it a secret, which she has. He's been
taking her on rides outside of the Weyr without either of us being
aware." He turned his gaze to Kielya. "And it will stop. Immediately."

"Oh no," Cyradis breathed. She'd heard stories about Ma'din's visit to
Dolphin Cove and his run in with D'hol. "He's a brownrider right?" Her
eyes narrowed. She could enforce the ban if necessary.

"Yes." D'hol's jaw clenched. "I caught him dropping Kielya off, but he
left before I could get Yumath to stop him." His lips were thin. "And
I don't know how long this has been happening for. She won't tell
me."

Cyradis knew if anyone could get the information out of Kielya it was
K'deren but she wasn't going to pass that along and add to D'hol's
irritation. "Alright, let me talk to her," she said. "I'll let you
know what I find out."

Would she now? D'hol looked at Cyradis without responding. His eye
twitched before he inclined his head. "Very well. I'll have words with
my son, then Saibra. He won't trouble Kielya again."

She nodded. "Perhaps supervised only. I'll warn the creche so she
can't leave there or her Harper Lessons."

Meanwhile on the couch Kielya began sobbing theatrical tears.

D'hol shook his head and glanced at Kielya before continuing. "Not
even that. I'll be sure to speak to Saibra. This won't happen again"
He inclined his head towards Cyradis, then turned to leave.

"Alright," she said and took a deep breath. "Thank you. I'll take care
of this." Her eyes rolled toward their daughter.

She closed the door gently and then turned to the couch. "Alright
knock off the tears and tell me what you've been doing."
