Physical Description of Persona:
Petite and slender with gentle curves and long, dark eyelashes, those are probably the prettiest
things about Marida. Other than that, she's not really much of a beauty. Granted, she's not ugly, but most people would not call her 'pretty'. Her eyes are a muddled grey, her slender oval face has a nose that's just a little too large and her eyebrows are a little too thick. She does have a sort of innocence in her expression that some might consider attractive, or maybe charming.

Emotional Description of Persona:
When she first meets others, Marida can be fairly shy. Once she starts to get to know someone, most will find that she is pleasant to talk with. She enjoys hearing about others, and generally puts people first - sometimes to her own detriment. She has been brought up all her life to be a wife and mother. Her husband is the head of the
household and she must listen to him. Most of the time, Marida is willing to 'go with the flow'. She does, however, have a certain streak of stubbornness. It doesn't come out often, but when it does, it can be very frustrating to go against its tide. Marida is also extremely organised and likes things very clean - almost to the point of obsessiveness.

History of Persona:
All her life, Marida was expected to learn how to run a household. Her father, a Journeyman Smithcrafter has never approved of women doing
anything else. The youngest of five, Marida was the only daughter in the family that survived to adulthood.

Marida took to her mother's teachings very well. She learned how to mend and even sew, though her skill in sewing doesn't go past making
utilitarian garments. She likes pretty things, but she just isn't interested enough to take the time to make them. Her mother was a very
good cook and Marida seemed to inherit her skill and eventually began to experiment. Many would say that her cooking is now even better than
her mother's.

Other than cooking, Marida does have another skill - drawing and painting. This was discovered by a harper stationed at the hold and who insisted on teaching her. Knowing her father's stance against
women doing anything that distracted them from their family duties, the lessons were done in secret as often as she could get away.

It was four turns before Marren discovered what was going on. He tore up all of the drawings that he had found and warned the Harper that he
was to never be near him or his family ever again. How dare he encourage things and put thoughts into a girl's head that went against
her duty of becoming a good wife and mother?

For once, Ridartia went against her husband when she realised how much Marida's art meant to her. In secret, she gave Marida materials, coloured pencils, and even some paint so that she could continue making her art. She was warned, however, to keep the supplies hidden and to be extremely careful as she continued making her creations. After her father's reaction, Marida was very careful indeed.

When she was fifteen, Marida's father and mother began to look for a match in marriage. It was two turns later before they found one with a Weaver named Tanas. Evidently, her looks didn't quite matter so much to his parents. The two were married and Marida hesitantly enters a new life with a strange husband.
