Persona Profile: Verora (Inactive)

Writer: Bree

Name: Verora
Age: 49
Birthday: m10 d4
Rank: Outlaw
Location: ,

Physical Description of Persona:
Once a beautiful woman who had spent candlemarks every day tending to her apperance, Verora now shows every one of her forty turns and perhaps a few more that she has not yet lived.

Hard living on the run and Meijah's less-than-tender attentions have given Verora an endless supply of bumps and bruises. Tangled black hair hangs with little regard over a face that seems fixed in a look of fear. The shadows under Verora's eyes and the sickly pale color of her skin make her look ill.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Once an arrogant and self-absorbed woman convinced that the world owed her a great debt, Verora has been reduced to the edge of madness by the gleeful manipulation of Meijah.

A woman who never believed in her own helplessness, Verora is completely at Meijah's mercy now and knows it. With over half a turn since she last had contact with another human, it is becoming clear that Verora's mind is in serious danger of breaking completely.

History of Persona:
Verora grew up as the only daughter of a Minor Holder in the North. Her father's hold was not large, but it was rich enough that she grew up expecting to make a splendid match, and set her sights early on the unwed Heir of their Lord Holder.

Verora's mother died early in her life, and she grew up with complete power over the Hold and the workers in it. Her father doted on her and let her run the place as she pleased, as long as his meals were delivered on time. He also paid little attention to Verora's social activities, or her indiscretions with a string of handsome crafters.

Rich their Hold may have been, but Verora's father ran his holding on the backs of his holders, and took more from them than they could afford to give. Each turn the farmers grew more and more angry--and their land less and less fruitful--until in Verora's twenty-second turn, the Lord Holder decided to intervene when he realized his holder was destroying the land to his own profit.

Verora and her father were removed from the Hold and put under guard in separate parts of the Hold--a guard Verora won her way free from with deliberate use of her body. If the thought of freeing her father ever passed through her mind, it didn't last long.

Her looks and her manipulative powers got her to the Southern Continent, but it soon became clear that they weren't going to get her into any sort of comfortable position like the one she was used to--not unless she could get close enough to a Lord Holder to seduce him with her varied charms.

Her experience running a Hold got her a position as an Assistant to the Headwoman at Garnet Valley, but nothing could gain the attention of its Lord Holder, who never seemed to notice her ample charms.

When the Headwoman finally left Garnet Valley, Verora took her place, figuring that it would least protect her from the most menial of work.

When it became clear that her assistant and the Steward were suspicious of her motives, Verora acted quickly to take care of the problem. Unfortunatly, Verora's planning skills weren't what they hoped, and instead of killing just the Steward, she managed to kill the Lord Holder as well. Her partner in crime left the assistant Headwoman alive, so all of Garnet Valley soon discovered that the former Headwoman was guilty of murder.

Now Verora lives on the run with Meijah, who takes delight in tormenting her. Even though it seems likely that the guard will break her spirit (if not her mind) sooner rather than later, there is no where else Verora can go where she won't be greeted with a swift trial and an even swifter execution.
