Growth form:
Sweet woodruff grows to 45cm. Small clusters of brilliant white flowers in late spring.
Uses:
Edible: Herb used to spice wine
Medicinal: The leaf tea is a Diuretic liver tonic and gentle sedative for children and the elderly. Bruised fresh leaves are an anti-coagulant for wounds.
Outside Info:
Dry leaves scent linen.
The rhizomes leave a red dye.
