Saibra loved her children, she loved them dearly, but she was so happy
that both of them were out of her weyr that evening. The sevenday had
been a particularly long one, starting with Wingleader D'hol and
Yumath's bizarre Threadfall incident. Saibra was still so thankful
that she and Chioneth had been able to get to Yumath in time to keep
the bronze from plummeting to the ground.
It was in this mindset that R'enh found Saibra when he came by. The
goldrider was sprawled on her lounge with her feet up. "Hello there."
Saibra smiled at R'enh's appearance. The bronzerider was a brighter
spot in Saibra's sevenday, and she was glad that he was stopping by.
They had never discussed their relationship, if you could call it
that, and Saibra was okay with that. She didn't expect promises or
vowels of love from the bronzerider, but she did enjoy his
semi-regular company.
This time around though the bronzerider was a bit concerned. Saibra
hadn't complained but much of her own work and Cyradis' had fallen on
her shoulders. Her rather spectacular catch of Yumath had been the
talk of the Weyr almost as much as the little green who'd caught the
rider.
"How are you feeling," he asked with a gentle smile.
"Sore." Saibra admitted, straightening up a bit on the lounge and
pulling her feet up, "Chioneth and I are not cut out to be heroes. We
are paper pushers and rule enforcers at heart." She teased, her lips
curved into a crooked grin. "We don't mind overseeing the wing while
Cyradis is out, but I for one will be glad when she is back."
"Hey," he said with a tilt of his head. "Why don't you move up a
little and let me rub your shoulders?"
"Mhm, that sounds like a good deal." Saibra sat up and then scooted
over so that R'enh would have clear access to her shoulders. She found
the bronzerider to be something of an oddity, in a good way. He was
the kind of polite, caring individual that she had rarely seen ride a
bronze.
He slid into place behind her and began to work through the knots in
her muscles. Her shoulder and neck were tight with them but he could
feel each one under his thumbs and worked to get the underlying
muscles to relax.
"That was a pretty spectacular catch," he said. "Both you and Pierka."
"Yes, I was quite proud of Pierka. The Queen's Wing as a whole
performed better than could be imagined." The Queen's Wing often was
left with the task of catching and rescuing dragonriders, and the fact
that their hard work and training had paid off when they needed it the
most, was something that made Saibra proud.
"How horrible, to be struck by lightning." Saibra shuddered.
"Not only that," he said. "But the weyrling catching the green. Shows
he's got a good solid head on his shoulders. I do think we'll have to
discuss bringing him into Hurricane once he graduates."
Saibra cocked an eyebrow, "And what if the Queens Wing wants him, hm?"
She teased, tilting her head back a bit so that she could see R'enh.
"You're an evil woman," he chuckled.
"Well, I might be persuaded to change my mind. If you were to, you
know, use the right language." Saibra answered in return.
His warm lips descended lightly upon hers in answer to her challenge
and his arms went around her as he pulled her into his lap. She
couldn't fail to feel the effect of her words even through their
clothing.
Saibra turned and gave R'enh her full attention, her arms wrapping
around his neck as she returned the kiss, "Yes, that is the right
language." She smirked a bit, her fingers playing lightly with the
hair at the nape of his neck.
He growled in the back of his throat and his hands become more urgent.
He might not be exclusive in his attentions to women but if there was
one thing about R'enh, when he was with a woman he was only with _her_ and
no one else stole his thoughts.
"Saibra," he curved his arm around her back and laid her down next to
him. Then he began his not so subtle assault on the lovely tip of one
breast he'd successfully uncovered.
The goldrider gave a low, throaty growl as she arched up against
R'enh's solid frame, one leg sensuously winding itself over the man's
waist and drawing him in closer to her.
Internally he chuckled. She certainly liked control just like her life
mate but right now he wasn't in a mood to give it to her. His hands
rose to her upper arms and pushed them over her head then he reared
back his head with a lopsided smile and grasped her wrists with one
hand and pinched the nipple with the other. Not too hard but just
until he saw her eyes widen a touch.
Saibra's eyes did widen, her eyebrows lifted, a smirk playing across
her lips. Oh yes, she liked this bronzerider, not many men dared take
control with her, in or out of the bedroom, but R'enh certainly knew
how. The goldrider found that she didn't mind acquiescing to the man's
touch or will.
}:Getting a little attached aren't you?:{ Chioneth asked.
**It is not a crime to have a favorite is it?** Saibra shot back,
although her mind was more than a little preoccupied with the
bronzerider.
R'enh wasted no more time on preambles and scooped her up. Her
reaction was enough to tell him she wanted to go where he wanted to
take her. A moment later he'd tossed her on the bed and begun to
remove his belt.
