}: Oh, hiiiiii Tysileth, :{ Quiroanth cooed as her fellow green came in for a landing. }: How are you? Oh, here, let me scooch over so you can get the good sun. :{

}:Hello Quiroanth!!:{ Tysileth enthused, landing with an eager sort of hop. }:Thank you! Today is such a lovely day, Mine says!:{

M'chan laughed as he dismounted and gave Tysileth an affectionate pat. “It _is_ a lovely day.” He agreed. “Enjoy the sunshine, ladies.”

Quiroanth gave a trilling hum. }: It issssss, :{ she fervently agreed. }: There’s a new boat coming in, it looks like. Oh, tell your rider that mine is sitting on the beach if he wants to join him. I think he’s sunning too but he likes it on the sand, not the rocks like us. :{

}:Oh what a lovely boat!!!:{ Tysileth enthused, even as she settled down on the nice warm rock.

M'chan patted her again, then bowed lightly to both greens. “Thank you for the information, lovely Quiroanth, I shall do just that.” He told her, and trotted off in search of Y'rim.

“M’chaaaaan!” Y’rim called brightly when he spotted the other greenrider nearing. “Come sit, come sit! Oh, it’s such a lovely day outside. I’ve got a fruity wine mix and some snacks if you want some.” The wiry greenrider leaned back on the blanket he had brought. There was plenty of room for M’chan to take up.

“Y'rim! Hiii!!” M'chan enthused, and came bounding the rest of the way to flop down ungracefully onto the blanket. He beamed at Y’rim. “The day _is_ lovely, and even more with company!” he said promptly. “Oooh yes, I’d _love_ some fruity wine. And snacks. Snacks for sure. It’s _nice_ having nothing to do for once.”

“Rest days are the best days,” Y’rim agreed. “Did Tys find Quir? Oh, yep, I hear them chattering away. Good. Okay, so tell me what you’ve been up to lately. Any new boy toys? Books? Clothes?”

“Oh you _know_ I don't bother reading when I don't have to.” M'chan laughed. “I got a nice shirt recently, though. And Tysileth, well, she flirts with _all_ the boys. A new winner nearly every time, you know.”

“Ooh a shirt! You’ll have to show me. We should really find a Gather and go shopping. I’m _dying_ for some new clothes. One of the kids spilled something rancid on one of my shirts and I have not been able to get it out.”

“Oh _definitely_.” M’chan agreed. “It’s _such_ a nice shirt. Gather-worthy, almost.” He winked at Y’rim. “You know, you could always find a kid-free zone to store some of your nicest things. Oh and definitely we should go on a shopping trip to a Gather.”

“I do love my new little family but oh, they can be a lot sometimes,” Y’rim said. “At least the older two are more responsible. Sareya is all headfirst into her dragonhealer studies. I think she wants to be just like her grandma, including on a gold dragon.” He snickered. “She’d be insufferable on a gold. I hope she Impresses a green.”

“Greens are the _best_.” M'chan chirped in agreement. “Tys and Quiroanth are all the proof needed of that.”

“All of the fun and none of the responsibility,” Y’rim added. “Unless you want it. No shade on the greenriders that want it. But that is just not for me. Timassa can handle that headache.” Y’rim laughed as he mentioned his Wing’s greenrider Wingthird. “What does Tys think about your new Wingthird? Wenreth’s rider? No, that’s not right. He’s on a brown though. _Cute_ guy. What’s his name?”

“B'relt.” M'chan supplied, and made sure to set his wine aside before he wriggled, rolled over and propped his chin up with a hand. “B'relt and brown Werreth. He's so _cute_.” He added, with a dramatic sigh. “I keep _hoping_ Tys rises soon so maybe that Werreth will chase.” He adds. “Tys likes Werreth, too.”

“_Does_ she?” Y’rim cooed curiously. “I hear Br’elt has hots for that greenrider D’boran though. Shame. I wonder if you can…coerce…him away for a bit.” Y’rim’s eyebrows wiggled suggestively. Despite the scheming nature of the topic, his tone lacked malice. It was all in playful fantasy. “Quir isn’t interested in browns. Or bronzes. She’s not a size queen. She likes her blues.” Two particular blues but Quiroanth would take other mates too if she fancied a change. “I could not imagine trying to keep a hold on a bronzerider though. Like the one that’s bedding the Weyrleader of Dolphin Cove? Ooooh, I bet that’s some hot competition there.”

“_Bronze_ riders.” M'chan laughed. “Please. Tysileth isn't _that_ ambitious. Let the golds have them. But browns, we'll take as happily as blues. And hey, maybe it could happen!” He added. “Tys is just happy for the attention, and if their riders are cute that's a double win.”

“All the better to wake up to, that’s for certain,” Y’rim agreed. Switching subjects, he asked, “Did you hear about the two Holdless Candidates we got from Dragonsfall?”

“Ooh, I might have, yes!” M'chan said, and considered-- for the span of two seconds. “I hope they aren't dangerous.” He decided, and helped himself to a snack.

“They better not be!” Y’rim said quickly. “I know we have to trust the dragons when on Search but oh, shells do I hope that none of them Impress. I don’t need to worry about being knifed in my sleep one day. Can you imagine? Sear that Dragonsfall Weyrleader for letting them stay long enough to attract the dragons’ attention.”

M'chan shuddered. “Oh I _agree_.” He said wholeheartedly, eyes wide. “Faranth only knows what they'd teach those poor dragonets. I don't even want to _imagine_ one of them chasing my Tysileth.”

“They might end up stealing your marks from your pockets afterward,” Y’rim teased but it held a certain note of bias. “Well, here’s hoping they get left wanting and leave shortly afterward. Less rubbish for us to deal with.” He shivered theatrically. “Oh, we are not going to focus on the bad things in life today. Not today! Let’s enjoy this sun!”

“_Absolutely_.” M'chan agreed, and shuffled around until he was sprawled out in absolute comfort. “... Snacks?” he asked hopefully.

“Second pouch. There’s little sweet seed cakes. With glaze!”

“Oh I _love_ sweetcakes.” M'chan enthused, with a giggle, wriggled over to get said pouch. “Oh-- here! Do you want one?”

“Oh, yes please!”
